Day three of our FAM Trip to Southern California began with a hotel tour and breakfast at
Humphrey's Half Moon Inn & Suites, located on the San Diego Bay. This property is situated right on the marina and has a beautiful grassy area where concerts are held during the summer months. We then toured the nearby
Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside which offers an array of complimentary activities like a putting green, shuffle board, beach cruiser rentals and family friendly "dive-in" movies in their pool area in the summer.
The next hotel we toured was the
Dana on Mission Bay, which is like two resorts in one. One side offers standard rooms while across the resort, the Dana houses a number of deluxe Bay Room Suites that will sleep up to six. This family friendly property is located right on a marina on Mission Bay where you can rent water equipment and toys. They have two delicious restaurants and two amazing pool areas, including an infinity pool overlooking Mission Bay.
SeaWorld was our next stop where we spent hours enjoying the animal exhibits, attractions, and shows. We were able to see the new Sesame Street Bay of Play kids' area which opened a few months ago.
After a few hours of fun at SeaWorld we drove outside of the city to tour the Rancho Bernardo Inn, which offers world-class golfing, spa treatments, and dining. Plus, it’s only located a few miles away from the San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park.
We then went to Carlsbad to visit some of our newest partner hotels, the Homewood Suites Carlsbad, Inns of America, Holiday Inn Carlsbad, and Hampton Inn Carlsbad. All of these properties offer comfortable family friendly accommodations. All are also within close proximity to LEGOLAND®, amazing beaches, and the Carlsbad Outlets.
After a day of touring, we left our contacts with the San Diego Visitor's Bureau,Yvonne and Sherri, who took such great care of us while we were in San Diego and drove an hour North to Anaheim, where we checked-in to the Disneyland® Hotel. Tomorrow we have some fun surprises in store, so check back to see what we did. We’ll be posting more about the attractions and hotels we visited when we return from Southern California.
