Day 6 of Get Away Today's Southern California Trip

Day six of our Southern California trip began with a tour of the beautiful Hyatt Regency Orange County.  This property is just a mile down Harbor Boulevard (the same street as the main entrance to the Disneyland® Resort) and offers plush accommodations.  We then were lucky enough to have breakfast at the Embassy Suites Anaheim South, another beautiful property.  This safari themed hotel sleeps up to six guests, offers a free full breakfast buffet (that we enjoyed very much!) with cook-to-order items, hosts a manager’s reception hour with complimentary drinks and snacks, and has a gorgeous indoor atrium complete with plant life and koi ponds.

We then toured the Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites Garden Grove, Raffle’s Inn & Suites, the newly transformed Red Lion Hotel Anaheim (formerly the Anaheim Maingate Hotel), and were then treated to a delectable lunch at the Marriott Suites.  We really can’t say enough about the awesome hotels we work with.  Check back when we return for more detailed information about all of the hotel properties we visited.

After lunch we drove the fifteen minutes to Knott’s Berry Farm for an afternoon of adrenaline pumping fun!  Some of their most intense roller coaters include Ghost Rider—one of the largest old fashioned wooden roller coasters in the U.S. and the Silver Bullet—this floorless roller coaster whips you through the air with six inversions.  Our staff also got to experience Supreme Scream, Boomerang, Montezuma's Revenge and so much more thanks to our amazing contact, Angel, who took a whole afternoon taking us around the park.

After an afternoon of fun at America’s First Theme Park, we toured the Knott's Berry Farm Resort Hotel where we were treated to a chicken dinner from Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaraunt.  That is a perfect hotel for anyone visiting Knott's Berry Farm or the Anaheim area.  Our group then headed back to the Disneyland® Resort, where some people chose to hit Disneyland® and Disney’s California Adventure® Parks, while others stayed back and enjoyed the amenities at the Disneyland® Hotel.
