Get Away Today invites you to have a “roaring” good time at the San Diego Zoo’s “Bear Bonanza” running March 19-22, 2009.  During this time you can enjoy specially themed shows and activities celebrating these furry four-legged favorites, including a bear scavenger hunt for little ones. Meet keepers who will fill you in on creating enriching habitats for all the bears and are eager to answer all of your questions. You can also enter raffles to win exciting prizes during this special event. On March 21 you can watch the polar bears frolic and play as they enjoy a snow day! Plus you can be one of the first to see the brand new sun bear cubs, who made their exhibit debut on March 16! The Bear Bonanza BBQ will offer finger-licking barbecue from 11 a.m.-3p.m. daily during the festivities.  From giant pandas to brown bears, the San Diego Zoo has it all!
