Las Vegas Hotel Spotlight: Trump Tower Hotel

Jennifer Dunyon, VP of Communications at Get Away Today offers her personal tips and recommendations for a first class Las Vegas vacation. Here are her experiences:

I just returned from Las Vegas and was pleasantly surprised with the Trump hotel. When we arrived we were talking in the car about how the smoke can get really old in Las Vegas and how it would be nice to be on the strip, yet escape the hustle and bustle of the casinos.

When we arrived, we walked in and couldn't believe how classy the hotel was. It was definitely deluxe and beautiful in every way. It was simpler than the other grand entrances on the strip, but just as classy. We also wondered where the casino was. The bellman informed us that the hotel was smoke free and that there was no casino in the hotel. We had booked the hotel because it had the best rate for a 5 star hotel and because of the famous Trump name. We were very pleased so far.

Then upon check-in they asked what floor we'd like to be on (the hotel is very tall I think over 70 floors!) We wanted a high room and our view of the strip was spectacular! The rooms were very spacious and included a full kitchenette (another unheard of thing on the strip!) Also, did I mention that the location was perfect for our shopping trip?! Outside of the hotel directly across the street was Nordstroms! We were in heaven. The pool area was very simple (a large rectangle pool), but the lawn chairs were very comfortable and there was a very nice workout room and cafe adjacent to the pool area.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to people who want a different more relaxing Las Vegas experience. We were still a short walk to the Wynn, the Encore and the Palazzo (some of my favorite hotels) so we didn't miss out on any of the extravagance of the Strip, however, it was nice to come home and be up to the room in minutes and relaxing in a peaceful atmosphere. I also would recommend the Trump to families who would like to save a little money by making some of their own meals. Also, it would also be a great hotel for travelers on their way to Southern California to stop and relax a night in the fun city of Las Vegas and not have the casino atmosphere for their family.
