The official and annual summer Pin Trading Festival will kick off tomorrow at the Disneyland® Resort.  Each year a different theme is selected and this year will be celebrating the Haunted Mansion's 40th Anniversary with "Haunted Mansion O-Pin House."  This annual event celebrates Disney magic through releasing limited time and specialty merchandise... mostly pins and some lanyards and other accessories which can be purchased a locations throughout the Resort.

To many devoted Disney fans and pin collectors, this event is a BIG deal.  So much so, that a wristband and purchasing limits are enforced for purchasing many of the goods.  Special artist signings and other events take place during this festival which runs through August 9, 2009.  Here are the dates to be aware of with notes for those events that require wristbands or are already sold out:  

June 19 - Disney Summer Pin Festival 2009 officially starts at the Disneyland® Resort.

June 20 - O'Pin House - Kick-Off Event - at the Disneyland® Hotel.  The Exhibit Hall is open from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for those with tickets to admire the collection. - (Please note this event is sold out)

June 21 - DDG Artist Chris Chapman Pin Release & Signing Event (Wristband Release)
at the Little Green Men Store Command inside Disneyland® Park from  8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

July 11 - DDG Artist Monty Maldovan Pin Release & Signing Event (Wristband Release with Purchasing Limits) at the Little Green Men Store Command inside Disneyland® Park, - 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

July 12 - Marcasite Pin Release (Wristband Release with Purchasing Limits) at Disney's Pin Traders at the Downtown Disney® District

July 26 - Pinbassador Inspirations Collection Pin Release (Wristband Release with Purchasing Limits) inside Disneyland® Park at the Little Green Men Store Command

August 9 - Disney Summer Pin Festival 2009 ends and The Haunted Mansion® Attraction officially celebrates its 40th Anniversary!
