We love visitors at Get Away Today, and today we really lucked out when six of our partners from
San Diego dropped by. They shared the latest and greatest updates going on at their properties and the
San Diego area attractions.
Toni from the
Best Western Seven Seas wanted to let everyone know about their new renovations to their 307 guestrooms, pool area, and other areas. They continually do annual updates and this year's project is their lobby. This true value property offers free parking and wi-fi, plus offers a free shuttle to the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld.
Next, Terri from the
Town and Country Resort reminded us about all of the great amenities at

this popular San Diego property located on Hotel Circle. With 966 guestrooms, 3 swimming pools, 5 restaurants, and beautiful gardens, you really feel tucked away from it all. The Town and Country is the only hotel with an Old Town Trolley Tour on property and they also offer complimentary transportation to Old Town. The Fashion Valley Shopping Mall is directly behind and within walking distance of the property, a popular stop for shoppers. Also, new this summer, the Town and Country Resort is playing free movies on Saturday nights on their lawn area. These movies are incredibly popular among families, start at 8pm, and are a perfect way to end a fun-filled Saturday in San Diego.
Next Dana from Bartell Hotels wanted to give us updates on all of the Bartell Properties. Bartell is the largest independent hotel chain in San Diego and has been offering a wide array of quality accommodations for 40 years. Some of the San Diego hotels she wanted to spotlight are the Dana on Mission Bay, Humphrey's Half Moon Inn & Suites, the Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside, and the Days Hotel.
The
Dana on Mission Bay is a sprawling resort located, as its name states, right on Mission Bay. It is the closest hotel to SeaWorld and offers a free shuttle to SeaWorld and the airport.
Humphrey's Half Moon Inn & Suites is another popular summer vacation destination due to its location on the San Diego Bay and its Summer Concert Series which runs May-October and generally features 60-70 shows per year. Guests staying at the hotel can opt to purchase concert tickets for seated admission, or can enjoy the sounds of summer from the pool free of charge.
The
Holiday San Diego Bayside is another hot spot for families staying in San Diego. This fun hotel provides a great pool area with "dive-in" movies during the summer, a putting green, complimentary bike rentals and so much more. They will be adding 60 additional guest rooms, a new ballroom, and a new restaurant which will begin within the year. Plus, the hotel offers free transportation to the cruise terminal and free parking while on your cruise, making this a popular pre and post-cruise place to stay.
The
Days Hotel is consistently one of our most popular due to its convenient location on Hotel Circle and its incredible prices. It is the largest Days property in California and the only Days Hotel in the state. In order to become a Days Hotel, rather than a Days Inn, the hotel must offer special full-service amenities, including room service, a restaurant, and a great pool area.
Next was Jennifer from the newly renovated and re-branded
Holiday Inn on the Bay.

This gorgeous high rise hotel is located directly across from the cruise ship terminal, USS Midway, Maritime Museum, and Anthony's Fish Grotto, the famous San Diego fish house.
Amy from the
Sofia Hotel introduced us to her boutique property. The Sofia Hotel houses 212 deluxe guestrooms with down comforters, pillowtop mattresses, flat-screen TVs, compact refrigerators, and microwaves. Its ideal downtown location is just 4 blocks from the water front, 2 blocks to Horton Plaza, and a quick walk to the Gaslamp District.
Our last presenter was Ken from the
Manchester Grand Hyatt. This incredible property is the

tallest and largest waterfront property on the West Coast with over 1,600 rooms. Directly adjacent to SeaPort Village and just a quick walk to Petco Park, this hotel offers a perfect downtown location for vacationers. In addition to a world-class spa, a gorgeous roof-top swimming pool, and a state-of-the-art workout facility, the Manchester Grand Hyatt also offers complimentary "dive-in" movies on select Friday and Saturday nights during the summer and an exclusive Welcome Amenity for Get Away Today guests. Plus, you can take advantage of our 3rd Night Free special this summer and get the biggest bang for your buck on your San Diego vacation. 3 night packages this summer start at $574 and include 2 adult 2nd Day Free SeaWorld Tickets!
All of our contacts also let us know about the fun things going on throughout San Diego.

This summer
