When you vacation at the Disneyland® Resort, you want to be sure you take the best pictures to preserve the magical memories you're making.  Disneyland® Park, Disney's California Adventure® Park, the Downtown Disney® District and all of the Hotels of the Disneyland® Resort each offer unique backdrops for amazing pictures.  Here are some of my favorite spots that make really cool pictures year round:

1. In front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle, of course.
2. Just inside the main entrance into Disneyland® in front of the amazing flowers.  The flowers are usually formed into a shape of Mickey with the train in the background.
3. By the partners statue (in Main Street in front of the Castle).
4. In front of any of the gorgeous and seasonal flower gardens or water features.
5. In front of Splash Mountain.
6. Pictures taken inside the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction turn out awesome because of the bright colors. These pictures make really good add-ins for scrapbooks.
7. In front of the Matterhorn...a Disney classic.
8. By Rivers of America
9. In front of the sunshine and water feature inside the main entrance of Disney's California Adventure® Park.
10. The shady area around Grizzly River Rapids.
11. Water fountains in Bug's Land inside Disney's California Adventure® Park.  You can get such cute shots of your little ones frolicking in the water.

For the best pictures of all visit during...HOLIDAY TIME.

Halloween:

The Disneyland® Resort is decorated so cute for Halloween. The bright colors, over-sized pumpkins, and Haunted Mansion Holiday confirm that Disney really knows how to make things festive and they do an amazing transformation into the different holidays.  The big jack-o-lantern on Main Street USA provides a great backdrop for pictures.  And, who doesn't love festive, happy candy corn? Take a picture with these bright and over-sized sweet goodies that take over Disney's California Adventure® Park.  During Halloween Time you'll want to always have your camera ready because you never know when you will see characters in their special Halloween costumes.  This year Disney's Halloween Time will take place September 25th - November 1st.

Christmas:

Christmas time is my favorite time to go to Disneyland®.   It is the only place in Southern California that can pull off looking like a beautiful winter wonderland. Each Park (and Hotel) has a beautifully decorated Christmas tree which create the perfect background for your holiday family pictures. The gorgeous winter flowers, characters in winter attire, and jolly spirit in the air truly make this park the "Merriest Place on Earth."

If you're there around October 31, take notice to the flowers that are planted in the park flower beds.  During Halloween they are all in vivid fall colors, then on November 1st they magically disappear and you see the Christmas colors being planted. Simply Amazing!

There are hundreds of great photo opportunities in the Parks, and these are just a few.  Be sure to make sure you have plenty of space on your memory card and pack extra batteries for your camera so you don't miss any moments.
