With a number of cruise lines and itineraries with various ports and cruise lengths, we'll help you plan your perfect cruise vacation. These exciting port cities throughout Mexico guarantee memorable excursions as relaxing or lively as you wish. Here are some highlights of the top port cities Carnival Cruise Line offers (provided by Carnival) on their Baja Mexico and Mexican Riviera cruises based out of one of our favorite cities, San Diego:

Acapulco
Acapulco, which is virtually synonymous with luxury, is a place where the rich and famous come to escape. Take the scenic highway for a striking panoramic view of the beaches and mountains, and note the beautiful homes and lush gardens as you pass through Las Brisas. And make sure you take time to see the thrilling cliff divers plunge into the turbulent waters of Le Quebrada.

Cabo San Lucas
Championship golf courses, world-class deep sea fishing and incredible diving opportunities have transformed Cabo San Lucas, a once sleepy fishing town located on the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, into one of the most popular resort destinations in Mexico. Rolling sand dunes and hidden coves dot a countryside ringed by some of the most famous and often-photographed rock formations in the world.

Catalina
Although just 22 miles off the coast of Los Angeles, Catalina Island feels like its a million miles away. This peaceful island offers glamour and sophistication combined with some of the best wildlife watching in North America. Take a stroll through the picturesque town of Avalon or enjoy one of the area’s many superb beaches. You’ll quickly see why Catalina Island is a
treasured destination.

Ensenada
Ensenada, one of Mexico’s most sucessful cities, has grown from a sleepy fishing village to become a popular beach resort. This oft-visited Baja destination is a multi-faceted jewel. Among its most popular locations are the waterfront promenade, the fashionable shops of Avenida Primera, and the winery of Bodega Santo Tomas, founded by the Dominicans in 1888. La Bufadora, a natural sea geyser located nearby, puts on a highly dramatic show.

Manzanillo
Highly praised for its diverse dive sites and exciting sportfishing, Manzanillo, Mexico, is a resort town of wide, soft-sand beaches and groves of palm trees. With its balmy weather, year-round ocean breezes and verdant mountains rising along the shoreline, this is a perfect spot for vacatio
ners looking to relax by taking in a round of golf, doing some deep-sea fishing or just basking in the warmth of a sun-kissed beach.

Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa
Although Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo are right next to each other, they couldn’t be more different. Ixtapa is a lively, modern infrastructure comprised of luxury resorts and residential areas residing on beautiful beaches along the Pacific coast. A photo stop at Playa Quieta, where you will be able to view the magnificent island of Ixtapa, is a must. Zihuatanejo, an Indian word meaning “river of the yellow water,” is a small bay and resort discovered by tourists in 1940. At the time, the only access to the village was by the sea. Your visit to this small town will provide you with some of the most breathtaking sights, including the beautiful Sierra Madre mountains as a backdrop.
