Disney Cruise Line: What You Need to Know

Friday, November 13, 2009
Written by Kimberly Fidler
Earlier this week our entire staff was trained inside and out on the Disney Cruise Line.  We thought we'd pass along some of what we learned onto you about the Disney Cruise Line Difference.  Here are some of the training highlights:

The Disney Cruise Line has been sailing for ten years and has two ships, the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic.  Currently the Disney Wonder sails 3 and 4 night cruises to the Bahamas with stops at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.  The Disney Magic sails 7 night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, 10 and 11 night Mediterranean cruises, and will begin 12 night Northern European capital cruises in 2010.  There are a limited number of repositioning cruises that offer unique and exciting itineraries as well.

You may have heard some exciting news about Disney Cruise Line doubling its fleet, and it's true!  The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will be online in 2011.  Each ship will be two decks taller than and offer more state rooms than the current Disney ships.  Until then, there is still so much to look forward to and experience on your Disney Cruise.

Here is just a sampling of what makes the Disney Difference:
  • Disney Characters.  You will not see Mickey Mouse or any of his friends on any other other cruise line.  On Disney Cruise Line the characters constantly are interacting with the guests, providing lively, personal experiences for everyone.

  • Disney Storytelling.  Disney Cruise Line has continued Walt Disney's dream of keeping storytelling alive in all aspects of their ships.  From specially themed activity areas, restaurants, and shows, you are completely immersed in the magic.
  • Disney Quality and Service.  No one does service like Disney.  Everyone feels like a V.I.P. on a Disney Cruise because everyone IS a V.I.P. on a Disney Cruise!  With access to the best restaurants, Broadway caliber shows, and more, you get the star treatment.  Disney Cruise Line also offers some of the most spacious state rooms sailing the seas for your ultimate comfort.

  • Disney Attention to Detail.  Seven years of research went into Disney Cruise Line well before the Disney Magic ever even made its maiden voyage.  This is just one example of how Disney Cruise Line has thought of absolutely everything to make your cruise a dream come true.  From unique rotational dining options to exclusive shows, to its own private island and so much more, Disney truly has thought of everything.
  • Safety.  Disney takes every precaution to make sure you're having fun and don't have to worry about safety issues.  Certified staff are always available, lifeguards are on duty, and the ships are always being looked after to make sure everything is in top shape.  Children can only be checked out of special kids only areas by a parent and parents are provided with pagers while their kids are in the camps so they can always be reached if necessary.
  • Family Friendly.  There is something for everybody of every age and interests on Disney Cruise Line.  Exclusive kids only areas (designated by appropriate age groups), special adults only areas, and family group areas provide numerous outlets for your entertainment, relaxation, and enjoyment.  There are no casinos on board Disney Cruise Line and you never have to worry about your kids seeing any inappropriate entertainment.
This is just a small sample of what makes Disney Cruise Line a perfect choice for your next family vacation.  In addition to all that's onboard, Disney offers some of the best destinations in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and, in 2010, Northern Europe.  We'll help you book your Disney Cruise and make sure you get the best deal guaranteed.  Book your Disney Cruise now by calling our Disney Cruise Specialists at 877.510.2929!
