Today marks the third day of Get Away Today’s Annual FAM
trip, and our reservationists started the day off right with a mouthwatering b
reakfast
at the Bahia Resort Hotel. This tropical resort set on the bay if a favorite
with Get Away Today guests due to its optimal location on Mission Bay,
and variety of room types including suites with kitchenettes. Tropical
gardens, two live seals, a junior Olympic sized pool, and outdoor 30 person
whirlpool spa round out the resort experience, and ensure each guest a
memorable stay.
After breakfast our staff was off the the World Famous San Diego Zoo. Set amid the bustling activity of Balboa Park,
over 4,000 animals call the Zoo home. Past FAM trips to the Zoo have included a
personal bus tour and behind the scenes animal encounters. We are so excited to
share pictures and stories upon our reservationists’ return!
After meandering the forest and jungle trails of the Zoo,
our staff will be treated to lunch at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. This gorgeous hotel is set right on the edge of the San Diego Bay,
and is just 10 minutes from the San Diego Zoo, Balboa
Park, and Old
Town. Each room at this
contemporary hotel boasts a breathtaking full or partial view of the Bay, truly
immersing guests in the “San Diego
experience.”

Bay which features three
new pools, multiple waterslides, and ocean view for over 90% of its guest
rooms, will be the next stop on our itinerary, followed by the Catamaran Resort. The Catamaran’s ideal location on the bay puts it within walking
distance of the beach, making it a popular choice for San Diego visitors.
The USS Midway will host our reservation agents next, with a
tour of their historic museum where more than 60 exhibits and 25 restored
aircraft are on display. The USS Midway, which is the longest-serving Navy
aircraft carrier, is an unforgettable experience rich with history, and is also
one of the most affordable family-friendly attractions in San Diego.
Appetizers at the Embassy Suites San Diego Bay Downtown are
next on the menu, along with a tour of this hotel that has it all. Spacious

directly across the street from Seaport
Village are just the

Our reservations team will close another fun-filled by climbing
aboard Amtrak for a gorgeous sunset ride up the coast to Anaheim where they will check in to the stunning Disney's Grand Californian® Hotel and Spa. Tomorrow will kick off our team’s first
day in Anaheim
and the Disneyland® Resort!
