Anything, everything, anyone, and everyone "sports" will be taking over the
Walt Disney World ® Resort this February for a FAN-tastic ESPN event. ESPN The Weekend presented by Dick's Sporting Goods will take place at
Disney's Hollywood Studios™ February 26–28, 2010. This "sports-tacular" event will coincide with the newly re-imagined ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex opening its gates February 25, 2010.

Walt Disney World ® Resort can expect an even more immersive sports experience at the new
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Cutting-edge broadcast technology
featuring robotic HD field and court cameras will capture event highlights
from each event taking place, with an onsite production facility
producing highlight edits for the many HD displays and JumboTrons
throughout the Complex. Also, an HD fiber uplink was put
in place between the Sports Complex and ESPN Headquarters in Bristol to
transmit highlights from Florida, which could make it on to a
national telecast.
At ESPN The Weekend, you'll have the opportunity to get up close and personal to all things sports with live and taped telecasts of shows like Baseball Tonight, NFL Live, ESPN First Take and more. Athlete and character motorcades, game shows, an interactive sports zone, Inside ESPN feature shows and Q&A sessions with major athletes will be available throughout the weekend—where YOU are the one asking the questions and YOU are the one getting the answers.
Current NFL superstars like Kyle Orton from the Denver Broncos, MLB Legends like Curt Schilling and Frank Thomas, NBA Legend Scottie Pippen, and US Olympic Medalists like Shawn Johnson and Misty May Treanor are just a handful of the athletes that will be attending.
