An elaborate "Cinderellabration" topiary and an environmentally friendly Green Garden will welcome springtime earlier than ever before at the 17th Annual Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival taking place at the Walt Disney World® Resort March 3 - May 16, 2010. Walt Disney World® guests of all ages can explore exhibits and activities geared toward gardening and outdoor fun while being surrounded by colorful plants, topiaries, and flowers.

Here is a list of what you can expect to see at this year's festival:

New This Year! Community Garden - See Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy, in topiary, as they tend their special community garden as a tribute to Disney's Give A Day, Get A Day.

New This Year! First Ever American Gothic Mickey and Minnie Mouse (based on the 1930 Grant Wood painting.)

New This Year! Herbs and Vegetables Home Grown - Canada Pavilion - presented by Rainbird Corporation. Discover how to use water resources wisely.

Green Garden – Learn how to create an environmentally friendly garden using low-water-use plants, recycling, and incorporating native plants into your garden.

Pixie Hollow – Colorful topiaries of Tinker Bell and her fairy friends will sprinkle pixie dust over this playful garden designed just for kids.  Because of the popularity of this area last year, Pixie Hollow will triple in size for 2010.  New enhancements include more pixies, face painting, a new host for the Butterfly House, and more!

Pirates Adventure Zone – Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Croc topiaries will lure young swashbucklers to this interactive space designed for exploration and adventure.

Fawn's Butterfly Garden - Hundreds of butterflies will flit inside a walk-through screened enclosure that includes a live exhibit showing how caterpillars form a chrysalis and emerge as butterflies.

Disney Gardening at Home presentations - Disney horticulturists will share gardening tips and lead you in a hands-on, take-home activity.

The Garden Town Festival Center - Shop for festival merchandise, attend speaker presentations and demonstrations and ask gardening questions of the experts.

The Annual Flower Power Concert Series will also be taking place during the Festival.  Check our blog tomorrow for a detailed schedule for these incredibly popular events.  Concert admission is included with your Epcot® Theme Park Ticket.  Spring into, well, Spring and book your Walt Disney World® Resort vacation today!
