Disneyland ® Resort visited our office to bring us the latest and greatest updates of what's going on this summer at the Happiest Place on Earth. One of the most exciting pieces of news is the new
World of Color nighttime show at
Disney's California Adventure ® Park will open June 11, 2010 and be the headliner event for Summer Nightastic! Check out the NEW video with footage of some of World of Color's incredible scenery and music:
Brett shared with us that World of Color uses 1,200 powerful and programmable water fountain (some that shoot 200 feet in the air), 30 HD projectors, and incorporates water, fire, fog, and lasers to create a show unlike any other. This nighttime spectacular uses all new technology that has never been used before in a water show and combines the most cherished Disney stories to create an unforgettable 25 minute show. Right now World of Color is slated to play nightly through Summer Nightastic! (June 11 - August 29, 2010) and beyond. During peak season times and Summer Nightastic! it will most likely have multiple showings each night.
In addition to the World of Color premier, Summer Nightastic! has an amazing array of entertainment in addition to all of the exciting attractions and events that you normally find at
Disneyland ®,
Disney's California Adventure ®, and Downtown Disney. Be sure to check out the following Summer Nightastic! attractions:
- Fantasmic! This enhanced nighttime show will wow you with a new and very scary (lifelike) dragon. And all new HD projection system and an upgraded sound system bring Fantasmic! to life in a whole new light.
- Magical - This incredible fireworks show premiered at Disneyland ® last year and was an instant hit. It is the first and only fireworks show to feature both Tinker Bell and Dumbo flying as part of the show. Disneyland ® is the only place Magical is playing, and it's only available during Summer Nightastic!
- TLT Dance Club - Families can dance the night away at this family friendly outdoor dance club. The hottest DJs and live bands will feature Radio Disney radio hits the whole family can shake it to.
- Pixie Hollow Enchantment - Tinker Bell and her fairy friends stay up extra late during Summer Nightastic! and have a mini light and fountain show every 15 minutes.
Also new at the
Disneyland ® Resort (although not part of Summer Nightastic!) is Rex & Trixie's Dino Darts. This interactive game is going to be part of Toy Story Mania's interactive 4-D game line-up. It will feature new characters from the new Toy Story 3 movie (coming out June 18, 2010) and will replace the balloon game that Little Bo Peep hosted as part of the attraction.
