All of the Disney hotels have special amenities exclusive to
Disneyland ® Resort Hotel guests, but "The Grand" has a few that are extra special and exclusive only to
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel ® & Spa. All of the Disney hotels have the following benefits:
- Ultimate convenience - you are literally within walking distance of everything at the Disneyland ® Resort when you stay on property. Guests at all three Disney hotels can use The Grand's private entrance into Disney's California Adventure ® Park, but Disney's Grand Californian Hotel ® & Spa is the only hotel inside a theme park and with its own entrance. Guests also have easy access to the Monorail, which has a pick-up station inside Downtown Disney that stops directly in Tomorrowland inside Disneyland ®.
- Disney Character wake-up calls - Waking up in the morning is always a little easier when you're greeted by Mickey Mouse himself! Disney Character wake-up calls are only available at the Disney hotels and a sure fire way to make sure your kids get up and at 'em for a day of fun at the Disney Parks.
- Disney Character Dining - Sure, you may expect to see the Disney Characters out and about at the Disney Parks, but when you stay at any of the Hotels of the Disneyland ® Resort, you can hang out with them without ever leaving your hotel! Nothing sets the tone for a perfect day at Disneyland ® better than kicking it off with a Disney Character Breakfast. Disney's Grand Californian Hotel ® & Spa offers an all-you-care-to-eat breakfast buffet at the Storyteller's Cafe hosted by Chip 'n Dale and their woodland friends. The largest of the dining locations, this restaurant serves all sorts of "goofy" items like Peanut Butter & Jelly Pizza, Mickey Mouse waffles, and much, much more!
- Exclusive fireworks viewing areas - The Disneyland ® Park fireworks can be seen
throughout the Disneyland ® Resort and neighboring hotels, but only the Disney Hotels have exclusive areas where you can view the fireworks and have the music and sound effects piped in for you to enjoy the whole show without the crowds. Disney's Grand Californian Hotel ® & Spa's Craftsman Club provides a perfect location to view the fireworks for concierge guests. The Disney Dreams Tower at the Disneyland ® Hotel is home to the E-Ticket Club which features premium fireworks viewing for concierge guests at the Disneyland ® Hotel. You don't have to stay in a concierge room at Disney's Paradise Pier ® Hotel to enjoy the fireworks, because the music from the show is piped in by the pool, located on the 4th floor for incredible fireworks viewing.
- Disney themed pools - The Hotels of the Disneyland ® Resort are known for their
incredible pool areas... in fact, their pools are so great, we recommend staying for an extended period of time so you can really soak up the fun! All of the Disney Hotels have themed pools with waterslides. Disney's Paradise Pier ® Hotel has a boardwalk themed pool and the Disneyland ® Hotel has two swimming pool areas, the Cove Pools and the famous Neverland Pool complete with Captain Hook's pirate ship. Disney's Grand Californian Hotel ® & Spa has three incredible swimming pools: the Fountain Pool, a quiet pool area with an artisan-crafted turtle fountain, the Mariposa Pool, which offers poolside cabanas and is definitely a high-end resort type pool, and the Redwood Pool, a family favorite partially because of its Redwood Tree-themed waterslide.
- Extra Magic Mornings - Each of our Disneyland ® Resort Park Hopper ® Bonus
Tickets include one Magic Morning early entry to be used during your Disneyland ® vacation, but when you stay at one of the Disney hotels, you get early admission each day it's offered during your stay! Magic mornings are currently offered on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday (just remember any day that starts with "T" or "S") and allow you to enter Disneyland ® an hour before it opens to the general public. It's the best way to get a head start on your day at the Happiest Place on Earth!

- Child care - Pinnochio's Workshop, exclusively located inside Disney's Grand Californian Hotel ® & Spa, provides a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment for kids ages 5-12. This child care area was expanded and moved to the new wing of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel ® & Spa and is open daily from 5pm-12am so more moms and dads can enjoy a night out alone. Pinocchio's Workshop charges $13/hour for each child and will even serve dinner for an additional $5 fee.
