We're one week away from the debut of World of Color at
Disney California Adventure™ Park at the
Disneyland ® Resort and we couldn't be more excited! With so much anticipation and excitement building for the June 11 premiere, Disney has released a number of options to help you ensure that you'll be among the first to experience this new nighttime spectacular.
“World of Color” will be presented twice nightly during
Disneyland ® Resort’s “Summer Nightastic!” season, June 11 - Aug. 29 (except June 16-17 when
Disney California Adventure™ will be closed for Grad Nights). Shows are scheduled to begin at 9 and 10:15 p.m. The viewing areas (both standard and premium) are standing room only, however, you are allowed to bring strollers into the viewing areas.
As of right now, the only way to guarantee a spot to see the show, is to get a special FASTPASS* for “World of Color” or select from several Dining and Picnic packages* that include a reserved viewing ticket. Here is a breakdown of what these options are and what they'll include:
World of Color FASTPASS:
Special FASTPASS tickets for “World of Color” will be available each morning at the Grizzly River Run FASTPASS terminals. Just like a regular FASTPASS, you'll insert your Disney park tickets into the terminal and receive a FASTPASS ticket for the show. Your ticket will reflect your assigned show time. As with other FASTPASS attractions, a limited number of passes are available for “World of Color.” When all of the day’s “World of Color” FASTPASS allotment has been distributed, Grizzly River Run terminals will convert back to distributing the Grizzly River Run FASTPASS tickets. You may gather at the Main Entrance to
Disney California Adventure™ as early as 7am to line up for a World of Color FASTPASS. When
Disney’s California Adventure™ opens to the public, everyone in this line will be walked into the park and over to the FASTPASS terminals.
In addition to the "World of Color" FASTPASS, a selection of specially themed dining package options, which include reserved viewing tickets, are available. Disney California Adventure Park will offer "World of Color" Picnic Meals and a selection of "World of Color" Prix Fixe Dinner Packages. World of Color Picnic Meals include a standard Reserved Viewing ticket and Prix Fixe Dinner Packages include a Premium Reserved Viewing Ticket.
World of Color Picnic Meal Packages:
“World of Color” Picnic Meals will be available online or by walk-up purchase* beginning June 11, 2010. Starting on World of Color's opening day, you can go online and order a special boxed picnic meal of your choice that includes “World of Color” Reserved Viewing up to 60 days in advance of your
Disneyland ® vacation. Picnic meals that are ordered online or day of may be picked up at the Sonoma Terrace, Golden Vine Winery from 2pm to up to one hour before your assigned World of Color showing. If you order online, your ticket will be for the first showing and if you order while at the park, your ticket will be for the second showing. There are four picnic meal options for adults and three picnic meal options for kids. All picnic boxes (adult and child) are priced at $14.99 and they can not be ordered over the phone. Your Picnic Meal Package must be redeemed for the designated reserved show date and time. No refunds, exchanges or discounts are available.
Prix Fixe World of Color Dinner Packages:
Prix fixe meals* are available at both Ariel’s Grotto and the newly redesigned Wine Country Trattoria restaurants, and they come with “World of Color” Preferred Reserved Viewing. Guests may order from a varied menu of seafood, meat and vegetarian options at Ariel’s Grotto (starting at $29.99 for adults; $15.99 for children) or a selection of Italian cuisine at Wine Country Trattoria ($39.99 for adults; $18.99 for children). Both restaurant menus include a starter, entree and dessert. The Wine Country Trattoria dinner packages also include a special wine paring for adults. After dinner, you'll be offered admission to the “World of Color” Preferred Reserved Viewing area. Dinner seatings are at specified times and space is limited. Prix fixe meals must be reserved over the phone by calling (714) 781-DINE.
If you're unable to get a FASTPASS or reserve dinner packages for “World of Color,” there will be walk-up space available at the viewing areas on the boardwalk side of Paradise Bay. That space is anticipated to fill up quickly, so we highly recommend either getting a FASTPASS or taking advantage of one of the dining package options available.

* All FASTPASS and Disney Dining options are subject to change and availability. Each guest entering the reserved viewing area must have reserved viewing area admission. Children (ages 3-9) must be accompanied by an adult. Guests may only enter the viewing area during designated times and no early or late admission will be allowed. Guests in large parties may not be guaranteed admission within the same reserved viewing area. Separate theme park admission is required.
