Get Away Today is your World of Color Expert. If you're planning on visiting the
Disneyland ® Resort this summer (which we think you should!) you won't want to miss the all new World of Color nighttime water show spectacular. Because of its highly anticipated opening and somewhat limited amount of viewing space available, you'll need to plan ahead to experience this incredible show. If you read our
blog from last week, you'll know that there are a few ways that you can guarantee you'll experience World of Color. Getting a FASTPASS is one way to get a ticket for the World of Color viewing area. These FASTPASSES are only distributed the day of the show and there are a very limited amount of passes available. The best way to guarantee a ticket to a viewing area is to purchase either a Picnic Meal Deal that includes a viewing area ticket, or to purchase a Prix Fixe Dinner Package that includes a premium viewing area ticket. We gave you a brief breakdown of these meal packages, but we recently got some more information that we'd like to share with you. Here is a video from Disney showing and talking about the Picnic Meal Package:
You can order your Picnic Meal Package online up to 60 days before you travel starting June 11. Adults have for picnic options to choose from: The All American (cold honey-stung fried chicken), The Taste of Asia (chilled miso-glazed salmon), The European Antipasto (cured meats, regional cheeses, artichoke heart, sun-dried tomato) and The Mediterranean Vegetarian (marinated grilled vegetables in a whole wheat wrap with roasted garlic hummus). Kids’ options include The Junior All American (chicken), The Lunchbox Classic (peanut butter and jelly) and The Little Squirt’s Box (apple wedges, string cheese). All picnic meals with “World of Color” Reserved Viewing are priced at $14.99 and must be redeemed for the designated reserved show date and time. No refunds, exchanges or other discounts.
Prix fixe meals are available at both Ariel’s Grotto and the newly redesigned Wine Country Trattoria restaurants and they come with “World of Color” Preferred Reserved Viewing. Each dinner location includes a starter, entree, and dessert. A varied menu of seafood, meat and vegetarian options are available at Ariel’s Grotto. Prices start at $29.99 for adults and $15.99 for children. Wine Country Trattoria offers a selection of Italian cuisine starting at $39.99 for adults and $18.99 for children. Adult dinners also include a wine selection the Wine Country Trattoria.
Seatings for the Prix Fixe Dinner Packages are at specified times and space is limited. Wine Country Trattoria seating times are available from 4 –
6:30 p.m. for the first show and 7 – 8:30 p.m. Ariel’s Grotto seating times are available from 5 – 7 p.m. for the first show and 7 – 8:30 p.m. for the second World of Color show. Dining will take approximately 60-70 minutes, which will allow you plenty of time to proceed to your reserved viewing section. We recommend arriving to your assigned viewing section 90 minutes before your show begins. Prix fixe meals must be reserved, at (714) 781-DINE (3463) and can be made beginning now for up to 60 days before you travel.
We highly recommend taking advantage of one of these dining options so you can fully enjoy the all-new World of Color and enjoy a delicious meal! We hope this information is helpful in planning your summer vacation. If you haven't already booked your
