World of Color FASTPASS Info

Thursday, June 24, 2010
Written by Kimberly Fidler
World of Color debuted at Disney California Adventure ™ Park on June 11 to rave reviews and we want to make sure that you get to see it while you're on your Disney vacation!  We've posted a couple of blogs about the fantastic World of Color Dining Packages in detail, but we haven't focused too much on how to get a FASTPASS and what to do with it once you have it.  This is the first time the Disneyland ® Resort has offered a FASTPASS ticket for a show, and now FASTPASS tickets are being used on a daily basis to see this new nighttime water spectacular. Here is the most up-to-date information on everything you need to know about these new World of Color FASTPASS tickets, viewing locations, and how you can experience the all-new World of Color:

 FASTPASS Distribution Guidelines:
  • You MUST use your own ticket to enter Disney California Adventure ™ Park in order for your Disneyland ticket to be accepted at a World of Color FASTPASS terminal, located at Grizzly River Run.  This means no one can leave the hotel early and enter the park with all of the tickets and expect to get FASTPASS tickets for everyone if they're not in the park.
  • One person may stand in line for FASTPASS tickets for their entire party as long as everyone is in the Park. All tickets must have been activated that day and will be distributed for day of performances only.
  • PREFERRED and RESERVED viewing require special “World of Color” tickets (FASTPASS or Dinner Package). If a third show is added, ALL tickets for reserved viewing in Paradise Park will be distributed through FASTPASS.
FASTPASS Return Times:
  • Check your FASTPASS ticket for your assigned show time, return time and viewing location. The most efficient route to their return location will be indicated by the color noted on your ticket (see Queue Locations below).
  • Your ticket will save your spot at your assigned viewing location.  You do not need to return earlier than the time indicated on your ticket.
FASTPASS Queue Locations/Routes:
  • Red/Yellow: The most efficient route to the Red/Yellow return queues is via Condor Flats.
  • Blue/Orange/PREFERRED Dining: The most efficient route to the Blue/Orange/Preferred Dining queues is via the Performance Corridor near the Blue Sky Cellar.  If you have PREFERRED viewing from your dining package, you'll be escorted to a designated area that is located center stage in Paradise Park.
  • If you aren't able to get FASTPASS tickets and do not purchase one of the World of Color Dining packages, you may view the show from various walk-up locations around Paradise Bay. You are more likely to get a walk-up view of the show during a second or third show (if available) from this area, because crowds are significantly lower. The most efficient route to Paradise Pier after 8 p.m. is via the Pacific Wharf.

You May Get Wet:
  • World of Color is definitely a “water” show and many areas in the ticketed viewing areas DO get wet, especially in windy conditions. Consider this your warning that you may get wet, regardless of where you are in the viewing area--but we promise, it will be worth it!
Paradise Pier Attractions:
  • Most Paradise Pier attractions close at approximately 8 p.m., so if you'd like to experience them, be sure to visit this area during the day.  Some of the most popular attractions like California Screamin' and Toy Story Mania are located in Paradise Pier.

Be sure to experience World of Color this summer at Disney California Adventure ™ Park with our 2 Days and Nights Free When You Stay 3 Special going on now through September 30,2010.  You must book by September 1 to receive your 2 Days and Nights Free and availability is limited, so book your Disney vacation now!
