The paradise of Oahu will get a little more magical next August with the opening of Aulani, Disney’s first Hawaiian Resort. Set on the peaceful shores of the Ko Olina Resort area, this innovative new resort will seamlessly blend enchanting Hawaiian storytelling, traditions, and legends into the family friendly fun of a resort atmosphere in a way that only the Disney Imagineers could create!
22 stunning oceanfront acres will house a collection of luxurious hotel rooms, suites, and private Disney Vacation Club® villas, which can be reserved by the general public up to 60 days before arrival, based on availability. Each room features beautifully themed décor, flat panel TVs, and most rooms boast an ocean or partial ocean view. But with so much to do on the resort grounds, we doubt you’ll spend too long indoors!
Two sparkling swimming pools, 4 whirlpool spas, and the “lazy river” Waikolohe Stream, invite guests to dive into relaxation. Come nose to nose with stingrays in the Conservation Pool, or rent some snorkeling equipment and set off on a tropical sea adventure of your own in the man-made lagoon and snorkeling cove. Adults will love the indulgence of a soothing massage at the 18,000 sq. foot spa, or tai chi or yoga classes at the health club. Kids will have an experience all their own at Aunty’s Beach House where they can try their hand at traditional Hawaiian games, arts and crafts, and nature programs. Plus the playful legends of Hawaii’s slightly mischievous little people, the menehune, will come to life and delight keiki (children) young and old on the Menehune Adventure Trail.
Local flavor goes cosmopolitan with touch a of cuisine from around the world at Aulani’s on-site restaurants where everything from quick service bites and a beachside bar, to fine dining at AMA’AMA and Character Dining at the Makahiki Buffet Restaurant will be available for guests to enjoy.
Ko Olina’s prime central location puts visitors minutes away from a Ted Robinson designed championship golf course, 45 minutes from the color and bustle of Waikiki and Honolulu, and 45 minutes from the serenity and beauty of Oahu’s famed North Shore. Aulani’s Tour Desk is happy to help you book excursions to Oahu’s hot spots so you can do everything from hiking, kayaking, to horseback riding, cooking classes, and so much more!
