Last Friday Brett and Ina from the Disneyland ® Resort dropped by our office to share the latest updates from Disney - plus, as an added bonus, they treated our entire office to a showing of Cars 2 in 3D on opening night!  It was awesome and we highly recommend seeing it to get you even more excited for when Cars Land opens in Disney California Adventure ™ Park next summer!  There is so much going on at the Disneyland ® Resort right now and even more coming in the future.  Here is a brief review of what is taking place right now at the Disneyland ® Resort:

Star Tours - The Adventures Continue: Experience the worlds of Star Wars like never before!  All-new technology including HD screens, incredible sound systems (built into your personal seat), and amazing special effects bring the places and characters of Star Wars alive right before your eyes.  Perhaps the most exciting feature of the newly re-imagined attraction is that there are over 50 possible journeys that you'll take when you climb aboard.  In fact, if you were to ride each possible version of Star Tours - The Adventures Continue back-to-back, you'd be on the attraction for 9 1/2 hours straight!

The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure:  Dive into the musical, magical, and watery world of The Little Mermaid.  This years-in-the-making attraction uses incredible new technology to bring the animated characters from this classic Disney movie to the most lifelike they've ever been.  This is the first time the characters from The Little Mermaid have been featured in a ride - and it doesn't disappoint.  The 5 1/2 minute attraction will submerge you in the music, colors, and adventure of Ariel's world.

Mickey's Soundsational Parade:  This all-new parade has had audiences dancing in the streets since its premiere over Memorial Day Weekend!  Mickey's Soundsational Parade is a true celebration of music and sound with nine new floats featuring characters from your favorite Disney movies (including Princess and the Frog and Mary Poppins) with a musical twist.  If you're looking closely, you'll notice that even the Characters' costumes have musical touches!  The parade also features Mickey Mouse himself playing the drums down MainStreet USA - something never before seen in a Disney Theme Park!  Mickey's Soundsational Parade will run in 2011 up until A Christmas Fantasy Parade begins during Holidays at the Disneyland ® Resort, and then return in 2012.

Magical, A Fireworks Spectacular:  There's only one place to see Magical - at Disneyland ® Park in the Disneyland ® Resort, and there's only one time to see it - summer!  Magical, a Fireworks Spectacular lights up the summer skies during Disney Soundsational Summer and is the only fireworks show where you can see both Tinkerbell and Dumbo take to the night sky!

World of Color: This nighttime, award-winning, stunning show celebrates its first anniversary this summer at Disney California Adventure ™ Park at the Disneyland ® Resort.  Fountains, giant water screens, fire, lasers, fog, and lights all bring the color, music, magic, and excitement of Disney story-telling to life.  Since its debut, World of Color has made some changes to surprise and delight audiences.  Currently, the Pirates of the Caribbean portion of the show has been expanded to feature some highlights from the newest Pirates film.  You never know when World of Color will have something added or changed, so we recommend going as often as possible!

Disney Junior - Live on Stage:  This favorite show for tiny tykes has recently been updated and replaced Playhouse Disney Live on Stage! with new characters; Jake and the Never Land Pirates!  Guest can still enjoy mini-episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, and Little Einsteins as part of this family-friendly show full of interactive songs and story-telling located in Disney California Adventure ™ Park.

Goofy's Sky School: Learn to fly from the goofiest flight instructor of all time - Goofy!  Inspired by Goofy's "How To" cartoon series from the 1940s, you'll climb aboard your flight training vehicle and take to the skies in a twisting, turning adventure.  Goofy's Sky School officially opens this Friday, but they are having some "test flights" if you're lucky enough to be at Disney California Adventure ™ Park this week.

Disneyland ® Hotel:  The Disneyland ® Hotel has made a complete transformation bringing guests back to the original Disneyland ® Park - with modern amenities.  As part of the all around changes, the Disneyland ® Hotel recently debuted a new swimming pool featuring two monorail water slides (designed after the original Monorail) and other water features, a lap pool that will connect to the new E-Ticket Pool area which will replace the Never Land Pool.  The Disneyland ® Hotel also recently opened two new restaurants: Tangaroa Terrace and Trader Sam's.  The Disneyland ® Hotel recently renovated their guest rooms complete with Sleeping Beauty Castle headboards featuring the Disneyland ® fireworks.  In addition to the guest rooms, the Disneyland ® Hotel recently renamed its three towers to the Fantasy Tower, Adventure Tower, and the Frontier Tower.  All of these changes are designed to make you feel as though you've never left Disneyland ® Park and truly carries the Disney magic one step further.

And coming soon to the Disneyland ® Resort:

Disney Halloween Time:  Disney Halloween Time and Holidays at the Disneyland ® Resort are two of the most popular times to visit.  Disney Halloween Time will take place September 16 - October 31, 2011 where Halloween favorites like Haunted Mansion Holiday, Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy, and more make special reappearances.  Mickey's Halloween Party will be held in Disneyland ® Park on select nights for an additional charge, where you'll get to trick-or-treat with your favorite Disney Characters donning their Halloween costumes and enjoy an exclusive viewing of Halloween Screams - Disney's Halloween Fireworks spectacular.

Holidays at the Disneyland ® Resort: Holidays at the Disneyland ® Resort will begin November 14, 2011  and continue through January 8, 2012 - the longest they've ever lasted into January!  Holidays at the Disneyland ® Resort features seasonal attractions and entertainment that can only be found at the most magical time of the year.   "Believe... In Holiday Magic," the fireworks spectacular, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, "it's a small world" Holiday, and Sleeping Beauty's glistening, snow-capped Castle are just a sample of the holiday wonder you'll experience at Holidays at the Disneyland ® Resort.  The weeks during and after Christmas tend to be some of the busiest of the year.  We recommend traveling in the beginning of December, or even after the New Year to get the full experience of Holidays at the Disneyland ® Resort without the Christmas crowds.

Cars Land:  Radiator Springs will come to Disney California Adventure ™ Park in Summer 2012, making it the largest addition to the Resort's history since the opening of Disney California Adventure ™ Park in 2001!  Cars Land will be based on the Disney Pixar Cars movies and feature themed restaurants, shopping, and three attractions - including the highly anticipated Radiator Springs Racers!  This high-speed ride (patterned after Epcot's Test Track) promises to be fast-paced, E-Ticket attraction. Mater's Junkyard Jamboree will give you a wild ride through Mater's junkard and Luigi's Flying Tires will have you hovering in Luigi's tire yard.

With so much to see and do at the Disneyland ® Resort right now, you will want to be sure to book your Disneyland vacation now!  When you stay at one of the Hotels of the Disneyland ® Resort (Disney's Paradise Pier ® Hotel, Disneyland ® Hotel, or Disney's Grand Californian Hotel ® & Spa) this summer, you'll save up to 25%, plus receive two Disney's FASTPASS® Tickets good for any regular FASTPASS® attraction!  It's the best way to experience all of the magic at the Disneyland ® Resort this summer!
