"We had a great time on our vacation through GetAwayToday.com. It had been five years since we took a vacation and we didn't really know how to go about making reservations and such. I picked up a GetAwayToday brochure at my children's school and found exactly what we needed!
The price was very reasonable and allowed me to add other attractions to the main package. I am so thrilled to be able to tell friends and colleagues about our trip!
We went to
San Diego and stayed at the
Days Hotel on Hotel Circle. What a nice hotel!!
The room was clean, the beds were comfy (with plenty of blankets!), and the service was great! The restaurant was very accommodating and our meals were delicious! A panicked phone call to the hotel brought instant relief -- the hotel operator was able to direct us to the hotel when we became lost on arrival. I was very impressed with how well the employee got us from Point A to Point B even though I could not see the name of the nearest building -- she obviously knew the area VERY WELL!!
The day we arrived, we had to go to the beach immediately! We got there as the sun was setting (check the picture) -- WOW!! And naturally my daughters had to find sea shells and look for sand crabs (another picture)!! The
next day, we toured the
USS Midway and took a two-hour Harbor Tour. Both tours were very interesting and enjoyable for myself, my husband and our two daughters.
On our last full day in San Diego, we went to
Sea World and had so much fun!!! I have included a picture of us on the Journey to Atlantis ride -- we all have different reactions to the ride!! What a way to start our day at Sea World!!
We plan to return to San Diego soon -- we are NOT going to wait another five years this time!!
