Skateboarding superstar Tony Hawk made the season even more merry and “bright” when he was joined by his two children on Monday to light the world’s largest LEGO Christmas tree at
LEGOLAND California. LEGOLAND added 50 skateboard themed ornaments to its 30 foot tall tree this year to honor their special guest, and also presented Hawk with a

$10,000 check for his non-profit organization, the Tony Hawk Foundation, which helps to build public skate parks in low-income communities across the country. The tree’s skateboards will be signed by Hawk at the end of the season, then auctioned off for charity. LEGOLAND guests received a real treat as Hawk and his sons, with Santa by their sides, hit the switch to ignite the massive LEGO tree—they were showered by a magical “snowfall” s grand fireworks display lit the sky overhead.
