Here is the first of a series of articles on our reservations agents' experiences during the Southern California FAM trip, where the Disneyland Resort, San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, and much more were on the itinerary. Here are some of one of our newest agents, Caitlin's favorite memories from this year's trip"
"The FAM trip was the most amazing experience. We were treated like celebrities. We ate delicious four course meals three times a day and received a lot of free gifts. Who doesn't love gifts?! Though it was fun, it was also educational. It is so much easier, as a travel agent, to see and experience the attractions and hotel we sell. I also met many of our hotel contacts. While in
Disneyland we stayed at the
Disneyland ® Hotel which was completely magical and made the experience ten times better. Each headboard lit up with a firework scene and looking out the window we could see Disney's fireworks at night. The pools at the hotel were beautiful. They had a number of outdoor pools, one of which had a slide. In the morning we walked right into the Disney California Adventure™ Park. I was so excited; it was like being a little kid again. I couldn't wait to see the Disney characters, the princesses especially. While there, we toured the Parks with the Disneyland tour guides and did not have to wait in any lines. After riding the rides, it was fun to walk through Downtown Disney to shop and purchase souvenirs.
After our Disney adventures we went to Universal Studios. It was fun to see where movies were made at Universal. After that we went to Knott’s Berry Farm. For those who have never been to Knott’s, it is such a fun park! There are a lot of fast paced, extreme roller coasters.
It is wonderful for both older children and adults.
Next stop was
San Diego. San Diego had such a different feel from Anaheim. It is very laid

back and of course, has miles of beaches! While in San Diego we went on a boat excursion where two passengers were able to drive their own boat. We got to drive around the ocean and see sea lions. Speaking of lions, we also went to the
San Diego Zoo where we saw panda bears (a rare find in a zoo!) as well as lions, tigers, giraffes, reptiles, and a lot more. After the zoo, we were able to visit
SeaWorld. There we saw Shamu do tricks and flips and also so many other undersea animals.
When riding from attraction to attraction we used California Gray Line and the Anaheim Resort Transit which were both efficient forms of transportation.
It was such an exciting, informative vacation. I am so grateful I get to work at Get Away Today with such wonderful people!"
