Disneyland Restaurants Gear Up for Renovations and a Grand Opening

Just when you thought Disneyland’s Main Street U.S.A. couldn’t get any sweeter, the Jolly Holiday Bakery Café has opened its doors to welcome visitors in for scrumptious baked goods and coffee. This restaurant is the former Blue Ribbon Bakery, moved to a new location and renamed after the immortal Mary Poppins scene. Edible offerings, according to the Disney Parks blog, live up to the restaurants name and include: “Angus roast beef salad with blue cheese; a Caprese sandwich with tomatoes, Buffalo mozzarella, basil, butter lettuce and garlic aioli on toasted focaccia bread; and a classic pastrami reuben on rye.”

The Jolly Holiday Bakery is located at the former Plaza Pavilion. (Check out the image that our friends at MousePlanet took of the exterior.)  Three other Main Street favorites, the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, the Carnation Café, and the Candy Palace, are undergoing renovations and are currently closed. These restaurants are slated to reopen this summer with expanded seating and new menu options alongside longstanding favorites.

You can get a taste for all the new additions at the Disneyland ® Resort this year as they stay open for 24 hours for the first time ever to celebrate Leap Year, Cars Land prepares to open this summer, and the Disneyland ® Hotel sports its new pools and renovations that brought it up to 4 star status. Get in on the fun and save at the same time by booking your Disneyland ® Resort vacation today!
