Cars Land to open this June at Disney California Adventure

(PNI) This summer, big things are coming to one of the world's most popular vacation destinations. The Disneyland Resort is getting ready to open Cars Land, their largest addition since the opening of Disney California Adventure Park in 2001. Get Away Today, a wholesale travel agency specializing in Disneyland vacations, shares some of the excitement coming to the Disneyland Resort this summer.

Cars Land, which has been years-in-the-making, will open at the Disneyland Resort on June 15. Radiator Springs will come to life in this all-new land, which spans 12 acres and will become the 6th themed land inside Disney California Adventure Park.

According to Get Away Today, Cars Land will be a completely immersive experience, featuring new attractions, entertainment, restaurants, and shopping. The most highly anticipated attraction is Radiator Springs Racers, where guests will race head-to-head past stunning rock formations. Luigi's Flying Tires and Mater's Junkyard Jamboree are also sure to be family-favorite attractions. With the opening of Cars Land, Disney California Adventure will also extend its park hours, and Radiator Springs will light up nightly with neon--just like in the movie Cars.

Plus, beginning June 18, for the first time ever, guests of the Disneyland Resort Hotels will receive early entry into Disney California Adventure each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. In addition to this exclusive perk (available through Get Away Today), Disneyland Resort Hotel guests will continue to receive early entry into Disneyland on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
