The big travel news this week has been focused around the price increases at the Disneyland Resort.  There have been a lot of questions, so Good Things Utah invited Jennifer Dunyon, VP of Communications for Get Away Today, to talk to their viewers about what they need to know about Disneyland prices going up.  Here is what she had to say:

Here is an overview of what she shared:
First off, the Disneyland Resort has raised prices effective immediately on all tickets including Park Hopper Tickets, the new 1-Park/Day ticket introduced this year, and Annual Passes. This price increase is up to $49/ticket! Luckily, Get Away Today is able to help you LOCK in the low price for travel through December 31, 2012, but you MUST BOOK by June 10th! Get Away Today knows how important it is for families to save money – we have made a business of making family vacations affordable for the last 22 years!

She also let everyone know, we still have a last minute deal available, where if you can travel by May 28 – over Memorial Day weekend – you can get 3-day tickets for just $196!

Here is a breakdown of the new Disneyland pricing vs. our discount pricing:

Jen also answered some of the most frequently asked questions about the price increase and how to get the best price on Disneyland vacations:

Q: How much more will I spend if I wait to book?
A: The average family will spend at least $200 more if they book after June 10, 2012.

Q: Do I have to travel by June 10?
A: No, you can travel anytime between now and Dec. 31, 2012, you just have to make your reservation and book your tickets with Get Away Today by June 7. Now is the time to book your travel for summer vacation, UEA, and even the holidays!

Q: What about the CityPass?  Are prices going up?
A: The Southern California CityPass is still a great option for your Disneyland vacation. It includes a 3-Day Disneyland Park Hopper ticket, plus one day at SeaWorld and Universal Studios Hollywood. Right now our price for the CityPass is $265 – but again, it has to be booked by June 7!  After that it will increase to $279 (this is the current price that Disneyland and CityPass are offering them for).

Q: What if I can’t pay for my entire vacation right now?
A: Get Away Today offers payment plans for as low as $125 down! That includes a non-refundable $50 payment plan fee and will LOCK in your discount package price. Your package has to be paid off three weeks before travel.
