HYATT SHOULD BE REALLY CONSIDER A COMPLETE OVER HAUL OF THIS RESORT. OUR ROOM WAS SO GROSS, COUCH WAS OLD AND SMELLED, THE CARPETS WERE STAINED. THE FIRST ROOM WE WERE GIVEN SMELLED OF PET URINE AND THE SECOND STILL HAD REALLY BAD STAINED CARPET. WE HAD A "DELUXE" FAMILY SUITE. NOTHING DELUXE ABOUT IT. THE POOLS WERE OK BUT THEY SHOULD REDO THE CEMENT AROUND SOME AREAS AS THEY ARE A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. THE RESTAURANTS WERE OK. THIS WAS NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING FOR A HYATT. AT CERTAINLY NOT FOR $272 ON AVERAGE PER NIGHT

The pictures online for this hotel look great. We were shocked to find that our room looked nothing like what is shown here, except for the actual layout of the room. Our Bay II room was in the older area of the hotel. The room was dirty, dingy, musty, and run down. The air conditioner was constantly running and no adjustments could be made. We always looked to the tower section of the hotel and wondered how the rooms would have been in there. Maybe this is where the "nice" rooms are. Be aware that staying here will cost you money that you might not expect. It is not close to anything, except Seaworld, but you have to pay a daily $35 water taxi fee to get there. There is no complimentary shuttle services to any of the desired San Diego locations. Taxis or a rental car are a must for anyone staying here. The hotel charges a $50 a day fee to the room, but they will take it off once you check out, if you haven't charged things to your room. Also beware, there will be a $25 a day resort fee attached to your bill at checkout. This is not refunded.

We had the best time at the Hyatt on Mission Bay. Our kids loved the pools and water slides. The hotel is right on the water with amazing views. They even had night time paddle boarding. Highly recommended.
