Things to Know About LEGOLAND® California Tickets

LEGOLAND® California is unique from other California theme parks for a number of reasons and those will affect what tickets you purchase. It was created for children ages 2 - 12 in mind and has a combination of attractions and entertainment, as well as places to play and explore. One thing to note, is that while many theme parks consider 3-9 child ages for tickets, LEGOLAND® considers children ages 3 - 12 child ages for tickets. Children ages two and under will not need a ticket for admission to LEGOLAND® or SEA LIFE Aquarium, but will need to pay a minimal fee to enter the LEGOLAND® Water Park. Which brings us to another unique feature of LEGOLAND®. Because the LEGOLAND® Water Park is open seasonally, there are some ticket types that are only available at certain times of the year. Finally, and probably most importantly, if you are traveling during a non-peak travel time, LEGOLAND® may be closed on some Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It’s always important to check the official LEGOLAND® calendar before making any final vacation plans.

Discount LEGOLAND® California Ticket Types

The LEGOLAND® California Resort is made up of three separate attractions that each have their own admission requirements. LEGOLAND® Park is the largest and main reason most families visit LEGOLAND® California Resort. The SEA LIFE Aquarium is located just outside of the main entrance, and the LEGOLAND® Water Park is located inside LEGOLAND® Park.

LEGOLAND® California Resort offers 1-Day Admission for LEGOLAND® only, as well as Park Hoppers that are valid for either LEGOLAND® and SEA LIFE aquarium or a Resort Hopper which includes admission to LEGOLAND®, SEA LIFE and the LEGOLAND® Water Park. The Park Hopper® tickets most often include a 2nd day free. Check your ticket for details. You can only purchase Resort Hopper tickets with admission to the LEGOLAND® Water Park for travel when the water park is open. Luckily, because Carlsbad has beautiful weather year-round, the LEGOLAND® Water Park will typically open on select days in March and April for spring break, and open daily Memorial weekend through Labor Day, and weekends into October or November. It’s also important to note that because the LEGOLAND® Water Park is located inside LEGOLAND®, you must have LEGOLAND® admission in order to access the Water Park.
