Today we had some very special guests visit our office. Representatives from some of our favorite San Diego attractions and hotels stopped by to remind us of what makes them our favorites!

San Diego Zoo: Of course the big news at the Zoo is that October is Kids Free Month! The San Diego Zoo also recently opened a new exhibit - the Australian Outback featuring wombats, wallabies, kokkaburras and koalas. Our contact, Karen, also shared that San Diego Zoo Jungle Bells is coming this holiday season where the Zoo transforms into a wintery wonderland.

San Diego Zoo's Safari Park: October is Kids Free Month at the Safari Park as well - and it's the perfect time to visit the park. The Safari Park offers a wide variety of Safari experiences, but the most popular is the Africa Tram Safari - included with Get Away Today admission tickets. We also highly recommend catching Cheetah Run, where you get to see the world's fastest land mammal reach full speed right before your eyes.

Town & Country Resort: This hotel is always one of our top sellers for San Diego vacations. It is a huge resort with amazing gardens, three swimming pools, five restaurants and great guest rooms. The Town & Country Resort is located in the heart of San Diego and just 10 minutes from San Diego's best attractions. It is within walking distance to Fashion Valley Mall and Riverwalk Golf Club. Plus, it's incredibly affordable! Get Away Today guests get their 4th night free for most travel dates now through May 2014, plus free parking - a $14 per night value and a free Passport to Savings Booklet! The Passport to Savings booklet includes valuable savings like a VIP Shopping Pass to Seaport Village and a free Starbucks coffee. As an added bonus, kids 12 and under get one free kid's breakfast buffet with the purchase of one adult breakfast buffet in the Terrace Cafe during the month of October!

Dana on Mission Bay: This gorgeous property is nestled up to Mission Bay and is another great value for families! With two great pools (including an infinity pool overlooking the marina), delicious on-site restaurants, and newly renovated guest rooms (all equipped with a microwave and fridge), the Dana is easily one of our favorite San Diego hotels.

The Dana on Mission Bay is part of a hotel group called Bartell Hotels - all of which are owned and managed by the same company. In addition to the Dana, Bartell Hotels has a wide range of properties that are perfect for San Diego vacations. Some of our favorite Bartell Hotels include the Days Hotel, which just underwent a major renovation and is an incredibly affordable option for families, Humphrey's Half Moon Inn & Suites a deluxe hotel that hosts a concert series during the summer located on Shelter Island, the Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside which just completed a major renovation and looks amazing and the Pacific Terrace Hotel which is an amazing hotel located on Pacific Beach in San Diego. We also love the Sheraton La Jolla, which is a fantastic hotel located just a few miles away from La Jolla's best beaches (and within walking distance to a Sprinkles Cupcakes) and the Best Western Plus Island Palms and Marina, another amazing waterfront hotel located on Shelter Island.

We love San Diego and want to thank Karen, Terry and Dana for coming to our office to remind us of what makes our partners so great!  Be sure to book your San Diego vacation today!
