UPDATED JULY 2023. Are you celebrating an anniversary, wedding, special date or Valentine’s Day at Walt Disney World? We have 14 romantic things to do at Disney World that are perfect for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary or any special occasion with your significant other.

Valentine’s Day has grown to be one of the biggest celebrations of love around the world. There are so many ways to honor your significant other on February 14th and throughout the year, but visiting Walt Disney World is one of our favorites.

Most people consider theme parks to be a family-affair only, but there are plenty of romantic things to do at Walt Disney World. In fact, the Resort is one of the most popular honeymoon spots for Disney lovers – known as a Disneymoon.

If you’ll be celebrating your significant other at Walt Disney World this year, here are 14 romantic things to do at Disney World.

Take a Romantic Carriage Ride at Walt Disney World

Take a horse-drawn carriage ride with your sweetheart. You’ll be able to gaze lovingly into each other’s eyes as you enjoy a picturesque ride around the forest of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground or along the banks of the Sassagoula River at Port Orleans - Riverside Resort. Carriage rides can be booked up to 60 days in advance and currently start at about $55 for 25 minutes for up to four adults..

Most Romantic Places for a Stroll at Walt Disney World

Walk hand-in-hand along Disney’s BoardWalk. The BoardWalk always has something going on, but nighttime is our favorite for an affectionate stroll. There’s just something about the twinkling lights reflecting off the water that makes Disney’s BoardWalk a favorite on the list of romantic things to do at Walt Disney World.

Couples 21 and older can watch piano maestros duel at Jellyrolls or dance to the greatest 80s and 90s hits at the Atlantic Dance Hall, too!

Most Romantic Spots at Disney Springs

Visiting Disney Springs is one of the best romantic things to do at Walt Disney World since it offers such a wide variety of options. The lively shopping district includes entertainment, shops of every kind and restaurants for any mood.

If you and your honey enjoy acrobatics with a touch of humor, don’t miss Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil® & Disney. Or, if you prefer some friendly competition, check out a guest favorite, Splitsville Luxury Lanes. This bowling alley steps it up in class serving up fine dining options right to your lane. Or snuggle up at the AMC Disney Springs dine-in theatre. You can also make a splash on a captain-guided tour of Lake Buena Vista aboard a fully restored retro dream boat.

Disney Springs is the perfect night out at Disney World for any couple!

Romantic Movie Nights at Walt Disney World

Sure we’ve covered the theatre at Disney Springs, but did you know several of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels offer complimentary screenings of Disney movies each night under the stars? You can check with the Front Desk at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel for a schedule of all movies being played during your stay. Our favorite, most romantic movie night spots are hosted at Disney’s Beach Club and Disney’s Yacht Club Resorts. No matter where you book, it’s sure to be an amazing night, whether you’re surrounded by woodlands or sitting poolside.

Romantic Spa Treatment at Walt Disney World

One of the most romantic things to do at Disney World is a couple’s spa treatment. Just imagine how relaxed you and your sweetie will be after spending a few hours being pampered! The best choice for a spa treatment is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. While Coronado Springs and Saratoga Springs each have a spa as well, the only one open at this time is at the Grand Floridian.

Most Romantic Restaurants at Walt Disney World

Spend your dinner gazing into each other’s eyes with a specialty dining experience. There are a variety of restaurants available to help you celebrate your love for each other on property at Walt Disney World Resort, and our concierge team can help you book dining reservations without the stress.

One of the most renowned is Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. You’ll be expected to dress in your finest and will be waited on by your very own butler and maid. It may just be the fanciest of the romantic things to do at Disney World.

Some of our other favorites include:

You’ll be swept off your feet by your sweetheart all over again at any of these restaurants!

Most Romantic Theme Park at Walt Disney World

Many people might first think of Magic Kingdom and Cinderella Castle as holding all the romance. But we love to look for the unexpected and overlooked romantic options when spending time at Walt Disney World.

That being said, a day at EPCOT should always be included in any romantic trip to Disney World. You’ll be able to stroll through several different countries in one day, all while sharing delicacies from each! Once the sun sets, you can snuggle close to watch EPCOT Forever. We also recommend checking out which festival is happening during your visit to EPCOT to include during your trip.

Here are some of our favorite ways to add a little extra to your romantic Walt Disney World vacation.

Or you can plan a package with Disney Floral & Gifts. They’ll supply everything and decorate the room while you’re out experiencing all the other romantic things to do at Disney World!
