What is My Disney Experience?

When you visit the Walt Disney World Resort, you need a free My Disney Experience account. This is your online hub for keeping track of all the different elements of your vacation. If you’re familiar with the official Disneyland app, it’s similar to that.

If you choose to take advantage of Get Away Today's Walt Disney World concierge services, an agent can help you create and manage your My Disney Experience account.

They will help you add all travel members to the account and link theme park tickets so your vacation is organized from the get-go!

In your My Disney Experience account, you’ll have access to dining reservations, Disney Genie and more.

Do I need MagicBands for my vacations?

The add-on experiences in your My Disney Experience account sync up with Disney Magic Bands. MagicBands are the wearable devices that give you electronic access to Walt Disney World. These can serve as electronic theme park admission, can be used to access Disney Genie+ lines and can even be used to enter your Walt Disney World Resort hotel and make purchases. Disney MagicBands are not required, and can be added onto your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

What is Disney Genie+?

You've probably noticed numerous mentions of Disney Genie+. Disney Genie gives you access to Lightning Lanes, Audio Tales, Disney PhotoPass Lenses and more. Lightning Lanes allow guests to experience select rides and attractions via a shorter line, similar to the old FastPass+.
