San Diego Zoo Safari Park

Escape the ordinary on your Southern California vacation with a trip to the San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park.

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is located in Escondido, about 45 minutes away from central San Diego. This distinct park allows you the unique opportunity to choose your own safari and see your favorite animals roam wild in a natural habitat. The Africa Tram Safari is included in our Best Value Tickets and takes you on a 30 minute journey through the Savanna. On the tour you’ll witness elephants, giraffes, antelope, and other African animals mingle together in large unfenced areas.

Incredible, interactive shows are also included with admission and are a huge draw to park visitors. The Frequent Flyers Bird Show and Cheetah Run are incredibly popular, as are Animal Encounters which are scattered throughout the Park daily. Be sure to grab a Park Map when entering the Safari Park to plan your day.
