How to Save at SeaWorld San Diego in 2019

How to Save at SeaWorld: Tickets

Tickets are obviously the biggest part of our guide on how to save at SeaWorld. Not only are they typically the biggest cost, but they also have the biggest potential for savings. The first tip for saving on your SeaWorld San Diego tickets is purchasing them from Get Away Today. We’ve been working with SeaWorld San Diego for so many years and have built a great partnership, which means amazing savings for you! The second tip is to choose your ticket wisely. For 2019, we’re currently offering two different SeaWorld San Diego tickets. Here’s an explanation of the ticket types and how much you can save:

SeaWorld San Diego Length of Stay Tickets: These tickets are best for families looking to visit multiple days during their vacation. They allow unlimited visits to SeaWorld San Diego for up to seven consecutive days from your first day of us. That includes access to all the attractions and entertainment! If you buy these from SeaWorld San Diego directly, you’ll pay $93 per ticket. But, as of January 2019, you’ll pay only $75 per ticket with Get Away Today. That’s a great deal no matter how you look at it; $18 off per ticket or just over $10 per day to play. You can purchase your SeaWorld San Diego Length of Stay tickets here.

SeaWorld San Diego Single Day + Eat Free All Day Tickets: These tickets are perfect for those who can only visit one day and know they want to enjoy all the amazing food the park offers. The Eat Free All Day tickets offers a single day admission with the ability to eat a 3-item meal once per hour. You could potentially eat 8-10 meals depending on how long you are at the park and the hours of each of the restaurants! One of the best parts is that this ticket meal deal includes some of SeaWorld’s best restaurants, like Shipwreck Reef Café and Calypso Bay Smokehouse. If you’re still asking yourself how to save at SeaWorld San Diego when it comes to tickets, you’re going to love this deal. The Eat Free All Day tickets are $126 per person when purchased through SeaWorld San Diego, but only $91 per person when you buy with Get Away Today. That’s a $35 savings per ticket! To take advantage of that amazing price, you can purchase your SeaWorld San Diego Single Day + Eat Free All Day tickets here.

Always check with Get Away Today when planning how to save at SeaWorld San Diego – on top of our always discounted tickets, we love to offer exclusive specials and sometimes even different ticket types throughout the year.

How to Save at SeaWorld: Food

Besides the amazing Eat All Day ticket above, there are a few other ways to save at SeaWorld San Diego when it comes to food. The best way to save money on food at SeaWorld San Diego is to bring in your own. The park allows outside food in, which means you can bring in your lunch, snack, and even dinner. Even if you’re planning on eating a meal or two inside the park, it’s still a great idea to bring a water bottle and snacks to avoid having to purchase those in between those meals.

Looking to save money while still enjoying the delicious food SeaWorld has to offer? We’d highly suggest the Eat All Day ticket for a 1-day visit then. If you’re looking to visit multiple days with our Length of Stay ticket and still want to eat in the parks, there are a few more tips. The first is to share food. This is especially helpful for families with smaller children or picky eaters who will only eat an item or two off a plate of three or more items. By sharing, you’ll likely be able to save up to half on what you usually spend on your family for a theme park meal.

Another idea to save money on food is to avoid the pricier dining and stick with the quick-service options. Don’t forget that sometimes spending a little more on these dining experiences can be worth it, though. If you’re celebrating something special or simply want to save time by dining and watching a show at the same time, we’d highly recommend splurging on the Dine with Killer Whales experience. Plus, you can usually save money when you book it online in advance through SeaWorld directly!

How to Save at SeaWorld: Souvenirs

It can sometimes be hard to save at SeaWorld San Diego when it comes to souvenirs – all the animal plushes are just too cute! We have two tips to help, though. The first is to only allow one souvenir per child and set a limit. That might seem obvious, but if you don’t have that quantity or price firmly decided upon and stated before you go into the park, it’s easy to spend so much more. The second tip is to pre-purchase your souvenirs and have them ready to hand to the kids in the park or after your day is done. While it’s not as easy to find SeaWorld-branded items in stores, it is easy to find sea-life themed items. Check your local dollar store or convenience store and we’re sure you’ll find plenty of items to have ready as souvenirs beforehand.

Another idea is to skip souvenirs entirely, or maybe switch them out with an experience. What will your kids do with another toy or plush? If it won’t be cherished or will quickly be forgotten, maybe it’s okay to go without this trip. We know many families have opted towards special experiences over souvenirs. While these can get pricier, it may be worth it to explore an optional exclusive animal encounter or dining experience instead of souvenirs.

How to Save at SeaWorld: More

Did you know that just by visiting, you’re already saving a ton at SeaWorld San Diego? That’s because almost all of the rides and entertainment are included. The only rides you’d have to pay more for are some of the midway games, which are easily avoidable and not as much fun as a race through Atlantis or hour in Sesame Street’s Bay of Play anyway.

You can enjoy all of the animal shows, and many of the animal encounters, for no extra cost as well. The only encounters that cost more are the ones that involve either getting into the water with some of the sea-life or getting an up-close look at animals like penguins that aren't typically seen at the shows or the hands-on areas. However, many of the encounters that are free allow you to put your hands in the water and get a close-up look without the additional cost. You can choose to purchase food for some of these animals, but it’s typically only $5 for a few fish to feed them. And the faces your kids will make when a dolphin or seal takes a fish from their hand will definitely be worth it!
