When Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on June 28 it will utilize a Virtual Queue Virtual Queue during the first few months (and possibly even longer). Guests can request to join the virtual queue via the My Disney Experience app at one of two times: 7:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. Read more about Virtual Queues for this and other attractions here.

Disney Genie+ is available for purchase beginning at midnight on the day of your visit. This service includes access to many rides at Walt Disney World theme parks. Yes, you can combine methods to ride! For example, you can purchase Genie+ and join the Virtual Queue both in one day at both Disney Resorts.

There are several dates to keep in mind when headed to “New Orleans” at Magic Kingdom in Orlando. We are keeping track and keeping these dates in order so you can refer back and plan your trip accordingly.

• Spring/Summer 2024 Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open for media previews, so you may see the ride running but this is by invitation only to select members of the press.
• Mid-June 2024 Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open for Florida-based Cast Members, Annual Passholders, D23 Gold Members (paid after hours event TBA) and eligible Disney Vacation Club Members. Stay tuned for exact dates and how you can participate, if eligible.
• June 28, 2024 Official Grand Opening for the public!

Disney Genie+ is available for purchase with your discount Disneyland tickets. This service includes access to many rides at Disneyland Resort. If the attraction follows the model on the east coast, we anticipate Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to join Disney Genie+ during its debut. There’s still a chance this ride could utilize Individual Lightning Lane purchases—or à la carte— when the ride first debuts at Disneyland. Individual Lightning Lanes are selections for specific attractions that are not offered through Disney Genie+. Buying an Individual Lightning Lane allows you access to the Lightning Lane queue (one time) for the selected attraction.

Although it’s an additional cost, it will save you time to be able to do other things throughout the Resort.

Here are a few tips to enhance your vacation experience when riding Tiana's Bayou Adventure:

• Get a multi-day ticket. The more park days you have, the more opportunities you'll have to ride Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
• Get a Park Hopper Ticket. For those who want to ride Tiana's Bayou Adventure multiple times, a Park Hopper ticket gives you the most flexibility during your vacation.
• Have a positive attitude. Remember that nothing is guaranteed. Rides can go down, entertainment can be canceled because of weather, AND you can STILL have a great time. Your Disney vacation truly is what you make it, and we hope you make it the best ever!
