Pixar Pier

Come celebrate friendship and Pixar storytelling with four neighborhoods jam packed full of attractions, entertainment, fabulous food and fun! Each of the four new neighborhoods will draw you in, and two of the neighborhoods include a couple of the most popular attractions in the park.

Make sure you spend enough time exploring all of the nooks and crannies of Pixar Pier, and maybe even go on your own version of a food crawl. It is sure to become one of your family's favorite lands at Disney California Adventure® Park.

Here is a breakdown of what you’ll find in Pixar Pier along with some tips of what you won’t want to miss:

Pixar Pier Attractions:

Incredicoaster
Located in Incredibles Park, the Incredicoaster will take you on a wild ride with completely immersive character experiences. You’ll blast off in hot pursuit of baby Jack-Jack who has escaped from his baby-sitter, Edna Mode. You’ll go through tunnels and even go upside down on a giant loop. You’ll love the special effects - including some yummy smells. For the full experience, we recommend riding this at night. However, the Incredicoaster closes early for World of Color on show nights. Be sure to check the schedule before trying to ride.

You'll want to grab a FastPass for the Incredicoaster, one of the biggest attractions to exist inside the Disneyland® Resort. It’s also the only attraction located in Pixar Pier that has a height requirement. Riders must be 48” tall to ride. If you have anyone in your group that doesn’t measure up, you can use the Rider Switch feature. Just ask a Cast Member to scan the tickets of anyone staying back and up to two additional riders before getting in line. Or, if you’re traveling with only adults or older kids, you may want to consider using the Single Rider line, which can potentially get you on the attraction sooner than the stand-by line.

Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind
You’ll board one of eight Memory Movers, each designed after beloved characters from the Disney/Pixar film, Inside Out. You’ll spin and soar while creating happy memories of your own. You should be aware that Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind closes early on performance nights for World of Color, so make sure you ride earlier in the afternoon.

Jessie's Critter Carousel
It might not be the wildest ride in the West, but it’s certainly one of the cutest. Jessie has corralled a number of zany critters for you to ride on this adorable carousel. As a bonus, it’s located right next to The Incredicoaster, so it is a great place to take smaller kids who may not be able to ride the roller coaster.

Pixar Pal-A-Round
The Pixar Pal-A-Round is a giant ferris wheel and a focal point of the park. Each of the gondolas is painted with a set of Pixar Pals. Watch for your favorites like Miguel and Hector, Buzz and Woody, Mike and Sulley, and more. There are 24 gondolas, which means 24 sets of Pixar Pals.

You should be aware that there are two types of gondolas, swinging and non-swinging. The swinging gondolas are really wild, while the stationary are much more tame. There are two clearly marked lines for each of the gondola types. Because of this, you’ll want to make sure you select the line for whichever gondola you want to ride in: swinging or non-swinging.

Toy Story Midway Mania!
You'll want to be sure to get a FastPass for Toy Story Midway Mania!: part of the Toy Story themed neighborhood. This interactive ride is one you’ll want to ride again and again to beat your score. The attraction is presented in 3-D where you’ll play virtual boardwalk themed games like ring tosses and balloon pops. You’ll earn points and bragging rights for accuracy. It is fun for everyone from toddlers to grandparents.

Pixar Pier Entertainment:

Meet Pixar Pals at Pixar Pier
What would Pixar Pier be without our Pixar Pals? You can often find Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Frozone and Edna Mode in Incredibles Park. Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Bo Peep can regularly be found on the Toy Story Boardwalk. Mike Wazowski and Sulley from Monsters Inc., Russell and Dug from UP, and Joy and Sadness from Inside Out also make appearances. They can be found near the Pixar Pier Band-Shell, which is across from the Pixar Pal-A-Round ferris wheel.

Games of Pixar Pier
When you’d like a quick break from rides, you can try your hand at a number of carnival games. You can purchase a pre-loaded game card and play them all: La Luna Star Catcher, Heimlich's Candy Corn Toss, WALL-E Space Race and Bullseye Stallion Stampede. If you just want to play one, La Luna Star Catcher guarantees you’ll win a prize.

Pixarmonic Orchestra
This 7-piece ensemble performs your favorite Pixar musical numbers in a way you’ve never heard before at the Pixar Pier Band-Shell, directly across from the Pixar Pal-A-Round. You’ll be dancing along to the sound of cowbells, kazoos and more. Check the Disneyland® app for daily appearance times.

Pixar Pier Dining:

Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats
Themed after the Adorable Snowman from Monsters Inc., you’ll find one of the most refreshing and most photographed treats in all of Disney California Adventure® Park. The Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait features their famous “It’s Lemon” non-dairy soft serve layered with a blue raspberry slush. It is the perfect blend of sweet and tart. You can also find soft serve chocolate and vanilla, as well as soft drinks.

Angry Dogs
Located in Inside Out Headquarters, Angry Dogs serves up hot dogs that have names to match their intensity. Choose from a Slightly Annoyed Dog (traditional all-beef hot dog) or an Angry Dog (spicy all-beef hot dog). Then, top them with your choice of “Keeping it Together” ketchup, “Displeased” yellow mustard, “Agitated” brown mustard or “Raging” buffalo hot sauce.

Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums
This cute and delicious cookie stand is tucked away at the exit of the Incredicoaster. After chasing down baby Jack-Jack, you’ll definitely be in the mood for one of his warm, gooey, chocolate chip cookie num nums. You can find a selection of specialty cookies, most large enough to share, and milk available for purchase.

Lamplight Lounge
Anyone who is anyone will want to be at Lamplight Lounge. Not only will you find authentic Pixar memorabilia, you’ll be treated to one of the best menus in the entire Disneyland® Resort. Make sure you try the famous Lobster Nachos and any one of the specialty cocktails or mocktails. If you want to try something new, ask for the Fun Wheel, a colorful drink that’s on their “secret” menu.

There are two levels for Lamplight Lounge. The top level allows walk-ins and has a limited menu. You’ll need a reservation to eat downstairs, which serves the full menu. Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance online, over the phone or through the Disneyland® app.

Popcorn at Pixar Pier
No trip to the pier is a trip to the pier without a bucket of popcorn. And the fluffy, buttery popcorn at Disneyland® is the best.

Poultry Palace
If there were awards for cutest restaurants, the Poultry Palace would definitely be in the running. The outside looks like a giant kids’ meal, complete with a toy Zurg located outside. You won’t be able to resist taking a pic. You can find perfectly seasoned chicken legs, coleslaw and corn on the cob at this tasty quick-service location.

Señor Buzz Churros
Buzz is always in Spanish mode at Señor Buzz Churros, and we couldn’t be happier about it. You’ll find galactic churros, which are the classic cinnamon and sugar variety with silver sparkles, and caliente churros, which feature crushed cinnamon candies. Both are muy delicioso!

Pixar Pier Shopping:

Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff
By far the sweetest shop in Pixar Pier is Bing Bong’s. Named after the character from Riley’s imagination, this colorful shop sells candy, treats and rainbow colored slushy drinks called “Memory Refreshers.” You’ll also find bright t-shirts, toys, pins and other souvenirs to remember your time at Pixar Pier.

Knick's Knacks
Knick Knack, the adorable snowman in a globe from the Pixar short by the same name, welcomes you to his shop that sells, you guessed it, knick knacks. In addition to traditional Pixar themed souvenirs, you’ll also find Pixar concept art and an on-site character sketch artist.

Midway Mercantile
Midway Mercantile is your one-stop-shop for everything Toy Story related. You’ll find this shop as you exit Toy Story Midway Mania where you can buy games, toys (obviously) and apparel.

Pixar Pier Tips:

There is so much delicious food along Pixar Pier that we recommend doing your own food crawl. Try to get one menu item from each spot and share with your group so you get a taste of everything. Also, be sure to have your camera ready. Not only will each stop be delicious, you’ll want to document the bright food items and exciting backdrops.

Speaking of backdrops, the entire boardwalk leading to Pixar Pier is filled with Pixar mural-sized postcards. Each offers a picture perfect moment featuring scenes from films like Wall-E, Coco and Finding Dory.

Be mindful that areas of Pixar Pier close earlier than the rest of the park on nights that World of Color plays. If you want to be sure you get to experience Pixar Pier as a whole, make sure you check the official schedule for closure times.

You can make reservations at the Lamplight Lounge on nights when World of Color is playing and have an awesome view of the show. Views aren’t guaranteed, but you can always make a request to sit on the outdoor patio or within view of the show.
