The Innoventions pavilion at Epcot® is split into two distinct areas; Innovations East and Innovations West. At Innovations East, you’ll be able to learn all you can about the science of color. Then, in Innoventions West, you can meet some of your favorite characters. Innoventions is the perfect place to cool off with your little ones during a hot day at the park.

Currently at Innoventions East, your family can explore color and the science behind it in Colortopia by Glidden. Three interactive zones are contained within the building; Color Our World, The Color Lab and Power of Color Theater. You’ll be able to learn about the psychology of color in the 30-minute presentation held in the Power of Color Theater. Then, create your own colors in The Color Lab or use a magic paintbrush in Color Our World. The experience even offers an app to help you “collect” colors from the World Showcase pavilions. More information can be found in the Innoventions East building.

Innoventions West is home to the Epcot® Character Spot, where different Disney characters can be found. Mickey and Friends are currently housed there along with Baymax in Hiro’s Workshop and Joy and Sadness at Headquarters. If you have fans of any of these characters, you’ll want to make sure you stop by the Innoventions pavilion at Epcot®.

Refurbishments will begin on this Epcot® land in the next few months, as the park is hoping to transform to become even more Disney centric and family-friendly. While only a few details and concept art have been released, it appears that the buildings for the Innoventions center may be taken down. While nothing has been confirmed, it may be best to visit now if you loved any of the shopping or attractions that are currently part of the Innoventions pavilion at Epcot®. We will make sure to update the page as soon as Disney releases more information on the renovation.
