100% worth it!
100%worth staying at their hotels! The breakfast is amazing, the bunkbeds, and the daily prizes for the kids in the treasure safe in room make it sooooo worth it!
Needs updating but a nice stay
Our hotel stay was pretty nice. Unfortunately the rooms are very outdated and room had a musty smell. We choose to eat at buffet style our first night, the food was not great at all. Gave my daughter a tummy ache. We choose to eat off the resort. Which saved us a ton of money. There aren't microwaves in the rooms either which was a bummer considering my kiddo has to have warm milk for bed. The outside pool was pretty dirty as well. Overall we had a great experience but will choose to stay elsewhere when we return.. Legoland itself was absolutely amazing I would highly recommend going. All my kids ages 4, 7 and 9 had a blast.
Good for kids!
Dislike - High parking fee even if you are staying at the hotel. Like - Great activities for the kids
Staff wasn't nice but Valet service was great!
I got there about 11am on January 1st I called the reservations line to see if early check in was available. The office was closed. I understand it’s a holiday, but there should be someone there. It’s a hotel line for goodness sake. I walk into the hotel to ask the front desk. The woman there was rude and said I should have booked early check in during my initial reservation. I explained that I booked through a third party so that option was not available and had it been, I would’ve. She said she’ll try but it’s not guaranteed. She said I’ll receive a text message if my room is ready before check in at 4pm. I took my children into LEGOLAND park and let them enjoy themselves until 4:15pm. I get back to the hotel, bags and three young children in tow for them to tell me my room is still not ready and that I’ve been moved to the top on the waitlist. I let the 2 older of my 3 kids play while I tried to comfort my 1 year old for over half an hour until my room was ready. What a headache! My family wanted to eat off site and asked the front desk before leaving if there was a parking pass or voucher that we needed to reenter. She said none was needed. We return after dinner and get locked out. Needed to ring the button. They took what seemed like forever to verify us to let us back in. The valet was excellent. Pricey at $40/night, but they were all very nice. The buffet was your typical breakfast buffet. Nothing stood out. Wish they had English muffins. Our room was close to the elevator and every time the elevator door opened we heard the pirate say second floor in his pirate voice. We had to check out early because we had an early flight. The elevators were nonstop with workers lugging around huge bins. You would think there would be a service elevator for them to use. It took almost 15 minutes to get into a elevator. Check out was easy. Because we left so early, there wasn’t anyone at the desk and I needed my keys from the valet. The guy came out from the back quickly after I rang the bell.
Great place for families!
Amazing family hotel. Lots of fun things for kids and really makes it magical for families.
So much to do, and great stay!
The Legoland Hotel was very clean, had a lot of stuff to do, and everyone was very friendly.
Super special!
The hotel was super fun and the theme/decor on point. The scavenger hunt to get the treasure chest open was so fun as were all the activities in the hotel. There was something fun at every turn - disco ball elevator, whoopie cushion pad, talking characters, etc. Super special! Being literally next to the party entrance was awesome. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hotel - delicious food and so many options for all in our party. On the other hand, I was disappointed by some things considering the very high price tag. The room was very small and more worn down than I expected. Chunks of paint were missing on the wall and the mirror was chipped in several spots. I really didn't like the sliding bathroom door - no privacy and it was hard to open and shut gently, without slamming it one way or the other. No blanket for the trundle bed sleeper. We called to ask for one and were brought the lumpiest pillow I've ever felt (SO BAD - they should be embarrassed to even own such a pillow, it belongs in the garbage) and a blanket so thin and pilled, I could almost see through it. Called again and specifically asked for a comforter, like the other beds had. We used one of the pillows from the king bed. For our first visit to Legoland, we were glad to have stayed and had a great time. We would recommend it. If we go back though, we might have to consider if the high price tag is really worth it.
Wish we would've stayed more nights!
My family of five stayed one night at the Legoland Carlsbad hotel, and I wish we could have stayed more nights! It was wonderful. I recommend checking in right when you can because there is so much for the children to do at the hotel. There is a lego pit in the lobby, a pirate play ship, the pool, a dance party, story time, a scavenger hunt, and even a box of lego in the room to play with. The hotel was very child friendly. The bathroom in our room had a toilet with both a child size seat and a regular seat, and the Brick restaurant where we had breakfast has a child height buffet line. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone with a lego loving child.
10/10
At first when we walked in I was like eh, but after staying in the hotel and experiencing all it has to offer the value was 10/10
Very fun hotel!
We had a lot of fun at this hotel--and the breakfast in the morning at the hotel's restaurant, Bricks, is excellent! The only downside was finding out that you can ONLY get a Ninjago room if you book directly through Legoland. To quote a Legoland representative, people who go through a third party for tickets have a "0% chance of getting a Ninjago room." This was also confirmed in writing by another Legoland rep. So I recommend saving $78 and booking just a theme room.
Awesome Hotel
The hotel was awesome! My kids enjoyed every minute of it! The only small disappointment was that we requested a specific themed room & were given the pirate theme (standard theme) due to all other themed rooms being booked. Other then that we will definitely stay here again!
A must for families with young kids!
Best bed ever!!! Soo comfy. Surprises around every corner in the hotel with plenty to entertain if you arrive before check in or after the park closes. A must for families with young kids!
AMAZING
If you have kids then I highly recommend staying here. The bunk beds and the kids personal TV are worth it. They have fun activities every night such as a dance party, balloon animals, lego building challenges, on-site arcade, and swimming pool. The elevator plays music so you can dance while going up to your room. It's so much fun and worth it. The breakfast is AMAZING!! There's something for everyone and it's hot. A good hot breakfast helps the start of the day.
Such a fun hotel!
We loved the elevator music! We loved the Treasure hunt for the Grandson, plus the in room hot cocoa. The many food selections at the buffet was wonderful & even though we were asked about food allergies, we wish there would have been more choices of soy milk, low fat selections too.
Fun theme
This hotel is so cool for the family! Love the overall Lego theme including the rooms and the elevator was probably the most talked about area of the hotel for all! The kids loved playing in the Legos in the lobby, the late night dance parties, the closeness to the park and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Everyone that we met and spoke to at the hotel were friendly and helpful as well. Everything was awesome!
Nice but not worth the rates
We were excited to find a deal and get to stay at the LEGOland hotel. I’d been eying it for years! While there were some fun things there - like the scavenger hunt and the themed room - I’m not sure they justify the added the expense. The breakfast wasn’t extraordinary. The dance party that our $28/day resort fee paid for was super lame, and you had to pay extra for food, drinks, etc. (we’re talking kids drinks here - and not even so much as a free appetizer table or drink of lemonade - nothing resort-like at all). You also pay extra for parking, and their dinner prices and options are ridiculous. So I guess I felt in the end like you pay resort prices and fees without resort amenities. And we are a Lego-loving family as big as they come! But our whole family felt more at home and at peace at our MUCH cheaper regular hotel chain. So save your money, buy your kids their favorite Lego set instead, and enjoy LEGOland . . . with a different hotel.
Close, and fun decor
Absolutely worth the money if you have small, Lego-obsessed kids. Early access to the park- right outside the door. Awesome buffet breakfast included. Great resort pool. Nightly events like building contests and scavenger hunts. Our 6 year old was in heaven! He loved having his own "room" with bunk beds.
Great hotel
The customer service was excellent. The kids had so much fun and really enjoyed getting a new gift every day in the treasure box.
Loved it
Legoland Hotel is a must
Fun for the whole family
This hotel was so great and kid friendly for sure. So much for the kids to do. The elevator was one of our faves. Loved how the kids played on the big Castle/ship as we got to sit and enjoy a adult beverage and they played and made new friends. The breakfast buffet that's included was awesome and they have a chef there making you a fresh to order omelette. We definitely will be back because it was fun for all of us.
Heaps of Fun
The hotel is heaps of fun and has so many little things throughout for the kids to find and play with. The food within the hotel was quite expensive, but there is a mini fridge in the room and a microwave available on each floor. Themed rooms are so full of LEGO!
The Only Hotel I'll Ever Stay at for LEGOLAND
I can't say enough about how much my kids (ages 1, 3 and 5) LOVE this hotel. This was actually the second time we stayed here this year because they loved it sooo much and we were able to add on a couple of nights to a different trip we had planned. We stayed in a Pirates Themed room this time and have a goal to stay in all of the different types. Our favorite is probably the NINJAGO themed room. I will always remember the first time we stayed here, my 2-year old at the time didn't want to leave the room because he thought we already were in LEGOLAND. We always do the group activities like the LEGO building contests and the nightly dance parties. It is non-stop fun. I am surprised every time how quiet the rooms are compared to the public areas though. And my kids love getting the LEGO surprises in the treasure box in our room each night. I don't think there's a better value for a theme park vacation when it comes to little kids. The LEGOLAND Hotel is seriously our favorite.
VERY Kid Friendly!
VERY kid friendly. There was a "potty" seat, a step stool at the sink, and quiet hours from 10pm-7am because they are a family oriented hotel. The continental breakfast was an amazing buffet. The hotel itself was also very clean.
All the Rooms are the Best Rooms
Get Away Today isn't allowed to promise any specific room type, but DON'T WORRY! All the rooms are above and beyond. We've stayed in each different type of room now and have loved each one! This hotel has such a fun atmosphere with so much to do and see, you can never get bored.
Would Come Just for The Hotel
We LOVE the Legoland hotel. Our kids enjoy everything about this hotel. They could wander around for hours exploring every little detail and enjoying all the fun activities that are offered throughout the night. Our kids love Legoland, but they couldn't wait to get back to the hotel each night. The pool was a highlight for us too. We played there for hours, cooling off and building things with the lego floaties. The attention to detail here is incredible.
Top Notch
Very clean considering that this is more of a family/kid friendly hotel. The staff on hand was top notch and so patient.
Helpful, Clean & Comfortable
Best hotel! They really cater to the kids with the decor and hotel activities. Staff is friendly and helpful, hotel is clean and comfortable. Free breakfast buffet is fantastic. All the perks make this hotel worth the money.
Amazing family friendly hotel!
LegoLand hotel was just 1 of our many stops during our vacation and was the best place we stayed! The complimentary bell hop service was fantastic after a long day with 3 kids 6 and under at LegoLand. The room was beautiful, we could see bunnies hopping out the window below and my boys LOVED the kids room area and the treasure hunt rewards. The breakfast was unbeatable. Such great and healthy options. The entertainment was amazing. We loved the dance party, the story time, the dancing in the elevator, and the LEGO pits. We most definitely will be back and plan to make it a longer trip and try out the new castle hotel!!
Spectacular Hotel
A surprisingly roomy and immaculate hotel with beautiful large suites, themed with popular Lego characters. It was a magical experience for my grandson who was excited to go on a 'treasure hunt' and get the prize in our hotel suite. There were many activities for the kids and family after the park closed and the elevators were fun to ride with upbeat music and a disco ball for all to enjoy. Breakfast for hotel guests were complete with anything and everything imaginable for a morning feast. We can't wait to stay there again and were wishing our stay was longer. I highly recommend this hotel.
Worth the money
This was such a great hotel! The treasure for kids to find daily in their room was awesome! The great free breakfast, that isn't your normal icky free breakfast at hotels was amazing! So many fun things for the whole family to enjoy. We loved our 5 night stay!
Fun Hotel to stay in, even for youger teens!
We had a blast in this hotel! There is always something cool to look at and do. The food was really good. Even my 14 year old son enjoyed the hotel. The rooms are so unique and my 12 year old and 14 year old enjoyed the bunk beds! The pool is great too especially at night when they played Lego movies. And they have a bar and outdoor sitting area near the pool with fire pits for the adults to enjoy! We were very happy with this hotel! The service was great and the rooms were nice and clean! I highly recommend this hotel without a doubt! An experience you'll never forget!!
Everything was AWESOME
Ok, if you are looking for one of the most fun hotel stays of your life - stay at the Legoland hotel. Seriously, not only my kids, but my husband and I were blown away by the attention to detail and how insanely awesome the hotel was. I can not stress enough - everyone is going to love this hotel! They even make the elevator rides fun! Plus, you are literal steps from Legoland. You NEED to stay here with your family. It was one of the most fun vacations we have ever taken.
