First, the good stuff. We checked in on Thursday afternoon, August 27. were greeting promptly upon entering the lobby. Brennan was the man who checked us in. We had our two small grandchildren with us and I requested a pack and play for the toddler. Brennan ordered it right away and told us to expect it soon after we went to our room. He told me he was giving us a quiet room so we could have a good night sleep with kids, as we were going to Legoland the next day. Our room was great! We were on the top (3rd) floor, looking out over the pool and courtyard. It was indeed very quiet and away from freeway noise. The pack and play was delivered right away. The room was clean and there were plenty of places to keep all the supplies for the two kids. The pool was so clean and lovely. Our 6-year-old had a great time playing in the pool with grandpa while the baby napped. The ONLY complaint we have for this stay is that we expected our room to be made up on the second day - Saturday (we were told they only make up the rooms every other day). When we returned from a long day at the San Diego Zoo at 3:30 pm, the room was not cleaned, beds not made and dirty towels were still on the floor in the bathroom. We called the front desk and they apologized and said housekeeping worked until 5 pm, so they probaby hadn't made it to our room yet. I needed to put the baby down and couldn't wait for housekeeping, so I flagged down someone with a cart on our floor and asked him to exchange our towels and empty the trash, which he promptly did. All in all, it was a nice stay of three nights. We had an early flight on Sunday, so we were grateful to have a quiet room to get as much sleep as we could the last night.
