Hotel was very clean. Check in people super nice. Loved the trolley that took us to Universal Studios/City Walk. Loved that they had an adult only hot tub. Movies by the pool at night. Definitely staying here again if we are ever back in LA!!!

The Garland was a perfect place for our family to stay. We loved the friendliness of the staff, the delicious food, the heated pool, and the shuttle to and from Universal Studios. We will stay here again.

The Garland shuttle to Universal Studios was extremely convenient. The drivers were also nice and always on time. The staff always greeted you when you entered and exited. The staff were also very genuine and helpful. The food is incredible. It was easy to get food whether at the hotel, the bar, the restaurant, or in the room. The hotel is nice and clean. The pool area is also nice. I felt taken care of. Best experience I’ve had at a hotel by far.

Hotel was nice & updated. Breakfast cost extra. Parking cost extra. The toiletries they provided weren’t great. Overall it was clean & comfortable. The free shuttle to universal was nice.

Lovely property. Everyone was helpful and nice. Trolley to and from Universal was great. The trolley was a great selling feature. Movie night by pool was great. Food from restaurant was great, even gift shop was great.

This is a great property! The location is close to Universal Studios and we took advantage of the free shuttle bus daily, even to get dinner at City Walk. Within walking distance of Ralph’s, Walgreen’s, Starbucks, and Rite Aid. We were surprised to learn that we were also within walking distance of the Brady Bunch House. There are many activities, like courtyard games, music in the courtyard, a morning fitness coach. The pool is small but we were able to find chairs. They play dive-in movies every evening. The food, drinks, and store are pricey. You have to go to Rite Aid or Ralph’s to find cheaper options. No free breakfast.

The location was great and the room was huge, which gave us plenty of space to spread out. We were upgraded to a room with 2 beds and pull out couch. We also appreciated the second sink outside of the bathroom.

Beautiful grounds, clean rooms, lots of at hotel activities for families and of course the free shuttle to and from Universal Studios front door!! Definitely the best we’ve stayed at in the area.

This hotel has alot to offer, the have an onsite restaurant & bar, they have a local musician that plays at the bar. The is very friendly & helpful. The vibe is a retro upscale 60's vibe but very stylish, we loved this hotel & would definitely stay again. Nothing bad to say...

Fantastic, family friendly hotel. Employees were polite and helpful. Rooms were very clean and up to date. Very cool boutique ambiance. Only reason I didn’t give this hotel 5 stars is the food. Only the breakfast was good. The pool food and restaurant food tasted like something you would get out of a school cafeteria. Everything was dry, tasteless and overpriced. The salsa was like tomato paste, my steak was dry, lettuce wilted, kids said the pizza was like a frozen one, chimichurri sauce was awful, and the chicken was undercooked. Pancakes, bacon and Mac and cheese were good.

Loved this hotel! Clean rooms, cozy beds, fantastic staff!! Food and food service is top notch.

Great boutique hotel. Have stayed here before and this visit was just as enjoyable as last. Great hotel with great amenities.

The free shuttle was so nice, it saved us money and stress! We also loved having a balcony, it was so relaxing to come home after a busy day to relax and soak in some moon light. Our rooms were very clean and fresh, we enjoyed every minute.

After a fun filled and exhausting day at Universal Studios we were so happy to come back to The Garland. The welcoming fireplace in the lobby was absolutely incredible. We loved warming up each night after a chilly evening spent outside mid-December. We loved every minute of our stay here.

What a gem! Tucked in to a great location with Trolley bus service to Universal Studios. Rooms were clean and service was friendly. Loved the poolside bar!!

Rooms were large with plenty of space to store luggage. Beds were fantastic. Showers were a little too trendy for me, but did the job :) Nice little balcony overlooking the Hollywood hills. But, the shining star of this hotel is the staff. Extremely helpful, always smiling, and wonderfully kind.

The room size was a little small and the decor was not my taste, but overall the room was comfy. When you opened the closet you were greeted by wallpaper of people taking pics of you LOL! You're in Hollywood ;) The only issue that I really did not like was when we came back to our room for our second night, there was mysterious little round poop like droppings on the floor by the bed. They definitely were not there when we left for the day...it was pretty gross to say the least. I think when we come back to Universal we will choose a different location to stay. They do put a $200 hold on your acct for incidentals...just so you are aware. We didn't know that until we arrived.

Loved staying at this hotel, will stay again the next time we travel to the area.
