Absolutely loved our stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was such a unique and once in a lifetime experience. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and so helpful. My only critique was the price of the Buffett for dinner. $300 for 4 people, two of which were 12 and 13 years old. That was excessive. The food was good but not worth that price.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The theming is absolutely incredible and I think it’s amazing that all of the shields on the doors are different. Getting a Savanna View Room and watching the animals from outside your balcony made for a vacation that I will never forget.

I was lucky enough to stay in one of their Savanna View Rooms at this resort - So Cool being able to watch the Animals roaming around in the Savanna right off the balcony of my room! Such a Fun themed Deluxe resort hotel! Disney transports you to an African Safari with this one - Even their resort pool had Flamingos standing by with the Savanna animals in the background roaming around and enjoying themselves. Several hot tubs scattered around the pool to relax in after a fun day in the parks, and the most comfortable padded lounge chairs I’ve ever laid in (slept here for a couple of hours). I loved the children’s club off the pool area where we were able to paint our own home-made souvenirs and then Disney fired our art pieces in their own kiln for us to pick up the next day - what a fun keepsake! Lots of great dining options at this resort and several viewing points of the Animals on the Savanna throughout the property. I’d highly suggest doing their Starlight safari tour add ons. I’d also suggest enjoying a stroll out on the extended view access point just off the lobby - which takes you straight out onto the Savannah’s where you can view the Animals on both savannah’s off both sides. Especially enjoyed the Extended Evening Hours included in for on-site Deluxe resort guests into Magic Kingdom during our stay!

This Resort is stunning! The lobby is incredible and you truly feel transported to another place. The African art throughout the Resort is so interesting to see and of course, the animals! My family stayed in a savanna view room and watching the different animals roam throughout the day was so incredibly relaxing. We especially enjoyed watching the giraffes play during a thunderstorm. They seemed to be loving the rain. While we loved the savanna view, there were tons of great viewing locations in and outside of the hotel. There were lots of delicious dining options. We loved Boma for dinner. Kidani Village was a short walk away from Jambo House (or there’s a shuttle) so we were also able to dine at Sanaa. The Indian-style Naan appetizer was yummy!

The theme of this resort has to be one of the best. It is BEAUTIFUL and you can never go wrong staying here, especially if you’re an animal lover. Even if you don’t stay in a Savanna View room there are still very spacious observation decks that give you a great view of the animals. The pools are so big and it’s super easy to walk back and forth from Kidani Village and Jambo house for a different pool, restaurant or just a change of beautiful scenery. All of the restaurants are also delicious and each a different experience. If you want a taste of African or Indian food, this resort is perfect for that.

Out of all of the Disney hotels I’ve stayed at (10+), this one might be my favorite. It feels SO relaxing and upscale. It really feels like you’ve gone to Africa, but it wasn’t a 24 hour flight, and it’s a Disney version of Africa. ;) I highly recommend getting the Savanna view if you can, because waking up to a giraffe outside your window is pretty incredible. I also love the buffet at Boma, and the bread service at Sanaa. I would eat at both even if I wasn’t staying there.

It was such a treat staying here! Especially in a Savanna View room. It was worth every penny. After a long day at the Parks, it was so nice going back to our room and seeing gorgeous animals right outside our balcony! It made our trip very unique, special, and even more relaxing than usual. We did take a bus to each of the Parks on our park days. It felt long on some days, but it was doable. We enjoyed the food options at this resort! We also found it very interesting that Disney Imagineer, Joe Rohde, was the mastermind behind this Resort because he was also the mastermind behind Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Very neat!
