This hotel is Mahalo!
They absolutely nailed the theming of this resort as you truly feel like you are in Hawaii when you stay here! I love having the monorail as a transportation option and who doesn’t love grabbing a dole whip when on a Disney vacation?! I also thought the story about pirates being the reason they do not have balconies on the 2nd floor was really interesting and truly shows Disney’s attention to detail.

This is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort on the monorail loop! The rooms are large and beautiful. The rooms have recently been renovated and I loved the Moana inspiration. It was fun, but very subtle. The food at Ohana and Capt. Cook’s is amazing! The BouTiki gift shop had a huge souvenir selection. The best part of staying at the Polynesian is the view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach. This Resort has such a relaxed atmosphere with pathways lit by tiki torches along the Seven Seas Lagoon. It was so much fun watching families and kids gather on the lawn to chat and play games.
One of My All-Time Favorites!
This resort makes me feel like I’m in Hawaii. You can grab a Dole whip and sit by the super fun pool area! This is one of my favorite pool areas because it’s so relaxing and the whole resort really just transports you to Hawaii. My favorite thing about this resort is its restaurant Ohana. Ohana has the BEST food and I haven’t taken anyone there who hasn’t loved it. From the fun drinks to the pot-stickers to the bread pudding for dessert, it is so delicious and always a win.
Breathtaking Resort
The spirit of Aloha was found everywhere during our stay at this gorgeous resort. From the cast members, to the décor surrounding the grounds and in our room, to the food and snack options, to the pool, to the smells, we loved our stay here and couldn’t ask for anything better. Having access to the monorail for Extended Evening Hours on some nights was also a treat. We were so happy to not have to wait for a bus or a ferryboat when we were so tired. Be sure to ask a cast member about the reasoning behind there not being balconies on the 2nd floor. Very interesting!
