Disney Lunar New Year Sip and Savor Pass

Food is a big part of the celebration and if you’re going to take advantage of the Marketplace menus, and you absolutely should, purchase a Sip and Savor Pass.

The Sip and Savor Passes are lanyards that come with six food credits. The credits allow you to redeem menu items (not including alcohol) from any of the Lunar New Year Marketplace kiosks and select other locations for one price.

All of the Marketplace kiosks feature bold bites and beverages celebrating Asian cuisine with a delicious Disney twist.

To redeem your Sip and Savor Pass you’ll simply go to a kiosk and scan your Sip and Savor barcode for one menu item.

Sip and Savor Passes can be purchased at multiple locations throughout the park. This makes sampling various menu items easy and convenient. Plus, the lanyard makes a great souvenir when you’re done. We recommend getting one at a time for your whole party and purchasing another once you’ve used all of your food credits.

Order Food Items in One Place

One of our best time saving tips for the Disney Lunar New Year Festival is to order all of your food in one location. It’s super easy, but can save you a lot of time waiting in lines.

Near every Marketplace kiosk is one central queue for placing your food order. Then you’ll find a sign to the side of the Marketplace kiosk for picking up your food order. The good news is, you can order any of the festival menu items from any of the Marketplace ordering locations.

You’ll pay for everything in one place, then they’ll give you your receipt with all of the menu items you paid for.

Celebrate with Mulan and Friends

The top, not-to-miss even for us is always Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession. It’s a 20 minute procession that travels from Hollywood Land to Paradise Gardens.

The show kicks off as the sound of triumphant music fills the air and dozens of beautifully costumed performers populate the street. With Mulan taking center stage, she’s joined by some Disney pals and a spirited group of Chinese entertainers.

The procession can be enjoyed multiple times throughout the day during the Lunar New Year celebration so it’s always easy to work at least one viewing into your day.

Go For as Many Days and Nights as Possible

Spread out the fun for as long as you can! We always recommend purchasing at least a 3-Day Park Hopper ticket. That’s even more true during Lunar New Year.

Trust us when we say that you’ll want enough time to sample all of the offerings. And don’t worry, if you purchase a Sip and Savor Pass, they’re good throughout the entire festival.

In addition to making sure you have enough time to eat all of the food items you want to try, we recommend visiting the Marketplace both during the day and the night.

During the day, you’ll find Instagram worthy wall backdrops on some of the kiosks. And at night, the signage is lit up for a whole new effect. The kiosks typically stay open until 8 or 9:00 pm, so just be sure to get your food picked up before closing time.

We love attending year after year, and we think you will too! We’d love to help you get there. Whether you're going with family, friends or as a romantic getaway, we have a package for you.
