If you've been following along, you know we started our annual FAM trip on Saturday in Universal Studios Hollywood. You can read more about what we did on Saturday and Sunday, plus enter more than fifteen giveaways, in our first FAM recap blog here. The magic continued yesterday, with our first Disney day.
We started off with a filling breakfast and great training, all about what makes Disneyland different and some of the new things to come. Our staff loved listening to each other's favorite Disney memories and learning a few new facts. For example, did you know Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has an orange grove painted on the main wall in every guest room? It's to pay homage to the orange groves that once stood where Disneyland did.
After such a great lesson, we had a little bit of free time to try the Festival of Holidays marketplaces in Disney California Adventure Park. What a treat! The staff-favorite seemed to be the stuffing mac and cheese from the Winter Sliderland marketplace. It was fun being able to get stamps on our passports around the Festival, as well. We also loved the Candied Yams with Marshmallow Cream and Toasted Pecans from Grandma's Recipes and the Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Macaron from Merry Mashups. There wasn't anything we tried that we didn't like, really!
Our VIP tour guides met us after our free time and then the fun really began. Our team was able to experience the new Incredicoaster, Toy Story Midway Mania and Soarin' Around the World before we headed over to Frozen - Live at the Hyperion. No matter how many times we see this show, we always love it. It's just such a spectacular display!
Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! was next (we all tried to wink on the ride photo, if you couldn't tell) before we headed to Cars Land. We rode Luigi and Mater's holiday-themed rides, and then jumped on Ariel's Undersea Adventure. After all that fun, it was time to head to dinner at the Carthay Circle Restaurant.
The food and ambiance was perfect, and our team had a wonderful time finishing the evening at Carthay Circle. We had the rest of the evening free, so many of us headed to the parks or back to the hotel to rest. We had to get our beauty sleep for the next Disney day after all!
Today is our last Disney day and we can't wait to experience it all. We'll be learning even more about some of Disney's newest technology as well as touring Disneyland Park. Make sure to watch for tomorrow's blog, where we'll share all the Holiday fun we were able to enjoy!
It can't get much more magical than that...or can it? It can when you have the chance to win another eighteen giveaways. Read our spotlight on each of the partners below and enter for your chance to win a 2-night stay.
