The Three Broomsticks in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood is known for its delicious food. The pub-like restaurant also features some surprises - make sure to keep an eye out for these hidden secrets on your next trip!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has so much to offer at Universal Studios Hollywood, but the most delicious offerings can be found at The Three Broomsticks. As the only restaurant located inside The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you'll want to be sure to grab either breakfast, lunch or dinner during your visit. In fact, if you can, you should dine here for all three meals!

Breakfast features items like "eggy bread" a.k.a. French toast, as well as traditional American and English breakfast platters. As a bonus, breakfast comes with your choice of small juice - including our favorite, the pear cider! The lunch and dinner menu items range from hearty pub fare like ribs, sheperd's pie, fish-n-chips and prime rib to lighter options like soups and salads. If you can't make up your mind, you can get the family platter which serves 4-5 and comes with both the chicken and ribs, plus corn on the cob, roasted potatoes and salad. It's a great way to sample the flavors of The Three Broomsticks.

You'll also want to save room for dessert... or at least come back for some dessert. My favorite is the Butterbeer Potted Cream, but I've heard that the Sticky Pudding could make me change my mind... I guess I'll have to try it on my next visit.

But like everything at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, The Three Broomsticks has such attention to detail and magical touches, that it is SO much more than a restaurant that serves food. If you don't pay attention, you'll miss some really fun surprises. Of course the food is fantastic, but the restaurant itself is so perfectly recreated, that you'll actually feel like you've stepped into the books or movies. Everything from the decor to the lighting and even smell of the wood is exactly as you would imagine it to be. You don't want to miss any of the hidden secrets at The Three Broomsticks.

While dining at The Three Broomsticks, you will be guided to a table. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options available, and they're both great. Inside you have the tavern feel and that is where the details are. Outside you have an incredible view of Hogwarts, so you really can't go wrong. The important thing is that no matter where your table is, you can and should take some time to explore the main restaurant. There are so many nooks and crannies to discover. If you dine here, here are some things you can look for to make your trip a little more immsersive. Make our list a scavenger hunt and try to find them all!

  • Butterbeer on tap.
  • Giant antlers. Not regular antlers, HUGE antlers.

  • A closed off stairway leading to the upper level.
  • Fire Whiskey on tap.
  • Four different types of chairs/benches.
  • The ACTUAL three broomsticks.

  • Large kettle hanging in the fireplace.
  • Rug hanging over a stairway.
  • Artwork. Count how many pieces you can find.
  • Giant wheel chandeliers.

And although not technically part of The Three Broomsticks, the far end of the restaurant houses The Hog's Head Pub where you'll find beverages for wizards and witches that are of legal drinking age. Don't worry, you can also get Butterbeer on tap for everyone in the family. In addition to drinks, the focal point of the Hog's Head is a snorting and growling, you guessed it, hog head. Even if you're not thirsty, you'll want to wander over to check it out.
