Knott’s Berry Farm Tickets and Discounts

Get Away Today sells discounted one-day Knott’s Berry Farm tickets, making it easy to add a Knott’s day to your Southern California vacation.

Helping families save on Southern California tickets and hotels is how Get Away Today got started back in 1990, so discounted theme park tickets are kind of our thing. And Knott’s Berry Farm has plenty of Southern California history of its own as one of the state’s original theme park experiences.

Knott’s Berry Farm ticket savings apply to both adults and children, which keeps pricing simple when you’re budgeting for the whole family. Knott’s is also only about seven miles from Disneyland Resort, making it an easy add-on if you’re already staying in the Anaheim area.

Best Things to Do at Knott’s Berry Farm

At Knott’s, fun is in season year round, with tons of thrill rides, seasonal shows, and attractions in four themed areas inspired by the history and culture of California.

Whether you’re on board for massive roller coasters, Old West adventures in an authentic 1800s Ghost Town, ready to explore California’s roots in Fiesta Village or going on a High Sierras adventure with the world’s most loveable beagle, Snoopy, Knott’s Berry Farm has a spot for you.

Knott’s Ride Stats

The best things to do at Knott’s Berry Farm for guests who love rides are, no doubt, the huge list of coasters, spinners and more.

  • Coasters for thrill seekers including HangTime and GhostRider
  • Thrill ride attractions like Pacific Scrambler and Supreme Scream
  • Kid rides for the smaller ones on board like Flying Ace
  • Family-friendly attractions including Calico Railroad and Dragon Swing
  • Water rides for sunny Southern California days

Knott’s offers a perfect California day for families with mixed ages because thrill seekers can tackle major coasters while younger kids have Camp Snoopy and plenty of family-friendly attractions close by.

Knott’s Berry Farm for Kids and Camp Snoopy

Camp Snoopy is the heart of Knott’s Berry Farm for younger kids, with PEANUTS-themed rides, family attractions and plenty of spaces designed for little ones to explore.

Families will find a mix of gentle rides, small coasters and interactive attractions, including:

  • Balloon Race
  • Beagle Express Railroad
  • Camp Snoopy’s Off-Road Rally
  • Charlie Brown’s Kite Flyer
  • Flying Ace
  • Linus Launcher
  • Pig Pen’s Mud Buggies
  • Rapid River Run
  • Sally’s Swing Along
  • Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister Coaster

Camp Snoopy also has two convenient dining locations, Cave Inn Snacks and Grizzly Creek Lodge, making it easy to stay in the area for a while without trekking across the park for food.

One of our favorite things about Camp Snoopy is the atmosphere. The area is filled with mature pine trees, bright landscaping, a bubbling stream and a large waterfall, so it feels more shaded and relaxed than many other theme park kids areas. That can make a big difference with kids on a warm Southern California day.

Best Food at Knott’s Berry Farm

Food is part of the Knott’s Berry Farm experience, and some of the park’s most iconic eats have been around almost as long as the park itself.

If it’s your first visit, start with one of the classics. Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant is famous for its fried chicken, handmade biscuits and boysenberry pie, making it one of the most recognizable meals connected to Knott’s history. You’ll find this location just outside the park gates.

Inside the park, Ghost Town Grill is a good choice if you want a sit-down meal with sandwiches, salads, chef specials and seasonal dishes, while Casa California Restaurante serves burritos, bowls, quesadillas and nachos in Fiesta Village with tons of seating options.

For something more casual, look for Papas Mexicanas and its loaded carne asada fries, or grab burgers, hot dogs and extra-thick milkshakes at Coasters Diner.

And don’t leave without trying something boysenberry. Knott’s knows its berry-farm roots and really impresses with boysenberry drinks, baked goods, funnel cakes and seasonal treats throughout the park and California Marketplace. The Farm Bakery and Ghost Town Bakery are both good stops for sweets and baked goods.

If you only have one day, we suggest a classic Knott’s meal and one (or two) boysenberry treats instead of trying to sample everything. That gives you a taste of what makes the food here different from a typical theme park.

Seasonal Events at Knott’s Berry Farm

Knott’s Berry Farm is fun year-round, but seasonal events can make certain times of year extra exciting. These limited-time celebrations add themed food, entertainment, decorations and activities throughout the park.

Some of the biggest annual events include:

  • Knott’s Boysenberry - Held in spring and centered around the berry that started it all, with limited-time food and drinks, live entertainment and local vendors
  • Ghost Town Alive! and Knott’s Summer Nights - Summer brings interactive Old West entertainment during the day and live music, food and family activities after dark
  • Knott’s Spooky Farm - A daytime, family-friendly Halloween event with trick-or-treating, PEANUTS characters and seasonal activities for younger kids
  • Knott’s Scary Farm - A separate ticketed nighttime Halloween event with mazes, scare zones and live entertainment on select nights
  • Knott’s Merry Farm - The holiday season brings Christmas decorations, seasonal food, live shows, Santa meet and greets and entertainment throughout the park

If your travel dates are flexible, it’s worth lining them up with seasonal events that interest you. Families with younger kids will love Spooky Farm or Merry Farm, while foodies will definitely want to plan around the Boysenberry Festival in the spring.

Tips for Visiting Knott’s Berry Farm

Before you go, check the Knott’s Berry Farm calendar for park hours, entertainment schedules and temporary ride closures. Hours can vary throughout the year, especially during slower seasons.

If you’re hoping for lower crowds, weekdays during the school year can be a good time to visit. The tradeoff is that some entertainment or attractions may have more limited schedules, so check the calendar before choosing your date.

For the best use of your time, arrive before park opening and start with your highest-priority rides first. If your family has a mix of thrill seekers and younger kids, plan time in both the major coaster areas and Camp Snoopy so everyone gets to enjoy something they’re excited about.

Most families can experience Knott’s Berry Farm in one full day, especially if they arrive early and have a must-do list ready to go. Seasonal events may make you want to stay longer or return for a second visit.

Visiting in summer? Consider adding a separate day at Knott’s Soak City so you don’t have to choose between waterpark time and attractions inside Knott’s Berry Farm.

Is Knott’s Berry Farm Worth It?

Yes! We think Knott’s Berry Farm is worth it for many families, especially if you want a lower-cost Southern California theme park day with a mix of thrilling coasters, kid-friendly attractions, seasonal events and classic park food.

Knott’s has a solid mix of thrill rides, Camp Snoopy attractions for younger kids, seasonal entertainment and food that is unique to Knott’s Berry Farm.

It’s a perfect place for older kids to spend time on major coasters and thrill rides, while younger kids have plenty to do in Camp Snoopy and on family-friendly attractions.

Knott’s is also an easy add-on to a Disneyland vacation since the parks are only a few miles apart. If you already have a Southern California trip planned, adding one day at Knott’s can give your family a very different theme park experience without changing hotels or destinations.
