UPDATED JANUARY 2019 San Diego is known for many things, but sitting at the top of the list is its 70 miles of beaches. We are so excited that our favorite San Diego tour (Old Town Trolley Tours) is now offering a San Diego Beach Tour! Here is what you need to know about Old Town Trolley's La Jolla and Mission Beach tour:

There are four stops on the 24 mile tour:

  • San Diego's Old Town
  • Mt. Soledad
  • La Jolla
  • Mission Beach

The entire tour takes 90 - 110 minutes if you decide to ride it continuously, but we recommend hopping off for some fun in the sun at each of the stops. You'll hear stories and history of the places you'll visit, listen to fun music and see some pretty awesome views along the way.

The tours depart/arrive each hour and can be started at any location along the tour. You'll get your sticker when you board, and if you get off at a spot, just come back before the next bus (or two) arrives and show your sticker to catch the next ride.

Here is what you can expect at each of the four stops:

  • Old Town - This is where Old Town Trolley Tours is headquartered. Although not located on the shore, it is worth a stop. It is known as the birthplace of California and is home to over 30 full service restaurants, historic sites and unique shops.
  • Mount Soledad - One of the most iconic landmarks in San Diego is the Mount Soledad Cross, a Veteran's memorial set upon one of San Diego's highest hills with 360º views of San Diego. From this point you can easily spot La Jolla , Point Loma, downtown San Diego, and on a clear day, you may even be able to see Tijuana.
  • La Jolla - When you visit La Jolla, you'll understand why the rich and famous make this seaside city home. Its tide pools, stunning cliffs and calm waters draw visitors from all around the world.
  • Mission Beach - Most of our guests choose to stay in the Mission Beach or Mission Bay area because of its surf and sand, and close proximity to SeaWorld San Diego, the San Diego Zoo and other area attractions. This tour drops off right by Belmont Park where you can ride the Giant Dipper, one of the first wooden roller coasters, learn to surf in a surf simulator before hitting the ocean, grab a bite to eat, rent a beach cruiser, or just relax on the sand!

You are sure to have a memorable day when you take Old Town Trolley's La Jolla and Mission Beach Tour! Add the tour to your 2015 San Diego vacation and get ready for a fantastic time. You can hold your 2015 vacation for as low as $175 down with our interest free layaway plan. Book online or call our San Diego experts at 855-GET-AWAY.
