If you've ever stayed at one of the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, you know how magical they can be. Staying on-site turns your Disneyland vacation into a completely immersive experience for the entire family. The three hotels, Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, Disneyland Hotel, and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, each offer something a little different and have a myriad of reasons to stay there. Having stayed at all three hotels, I've put together my top 10 lists of why you should stay at the Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Now it's time to share my top 10 reasons to stay at the third Disney hotel, Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. So, in no particular order, here they are:
Location, location, location: Only second to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel offers my favorite location of a Disney hotel. To the hotel's side, you'll find Downtown Disney, which is so much fun to walk through to get to the parks' main gates. Or you can walk through Downtown Disney to catch the Monorail and ride it straight into Tomorrowland inside Disneyland Park.
Extra Magic Mornings: All of our 3-day or longer Disney tickets include one Magic Morning early entry that can be used at Disneyland on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays, which is great. However, when you stay at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, you don't have to pick a day - you get early access to Disneyland every day of your vacation that it's offered as long as you have a valid park ticket and your room key.
Extra Magic Hours: One of the best perks of staying at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel (or theother Disneyland Resort Hotels) is that you get early entry EVERYmorning of your stay! Different from Magic Mornings which only allow access to Disneyland, when you stay at one of the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, you get Extra Magic Hours which means exclusive early entrance to Disney California Adventure Park! These Extra Magic Hours give you access to Disney California Adventure Park on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays one hour before the park opens to the general public - including the new Cars Land! Like Magic Mornings, you don't have to pick just one day to use your Extra Magic Hour, you can get in early each day of your stay as long as you have a valid ticket and room key.
Largest Guest Rooms: Of the three Disney hotels, Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel has the largest guest rooms. In fact, most of the rooms at this hotel come with two queen beds and a twin sized sofa bed. Although exact room types can't be guaranteed, if you have a family of five, you normally get priority on these rooms and they are very comfortable.
Surf's Up with Mickey & Friends: Each of the three Disney hotels offer on-site Disney Character Dining, a fun and incredibly convenient breakfast option especially when you're staying on-property. The Character Dining experience at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is a little extra special because it is the ONLY place you'll ever see Mickey outside of the Parks at the Disneyland Resort. You'll save potentially hours worth of waiting in line to meet Mickey and Minnie, plus enjoy some delicious California style cuisine while you're at it. This all-you-care-to-eat buffet is one of my favorites and includes banana caramel french toast, smoothies, an omelet station, flatbreads and so much more. As an added tip, you can purchase your Character Dining from Get Away Today beforehand and you'll save up to 18% on Surf's Up with Mickey and Friends!
Rooftop Swimming Pool: Themed swimming pools with water slides are characteristic of the Disney hotels. Although Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel has the smallest of the Disney hotel swimming pools, it is the only rooftop pool and it is so much fun. I love the boardwalk theme and what's even better is you can watch the fireworks while the music is piped into the pool area.
Great Rates: Another major perk of staying at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is the price. Even with all of its amenities, this hotel offers the lowest rates making it the most affordable of the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort. It's no wonder families love this hotel so much!
Beach Theme: I love a good theme and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel does an incredible job carrying the Disney beach theme throughout the entire hotel. I particularly love the Mickey Mouse Lifeguard lamps and beach ball pillows in the guest rooms. The rooms are just darling and you can easily make a game of finding all of the hidden Mickeys throughout.
Exclusive Hotel Perks: When you check-in to Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, you have access to a wide array of amenities including special tours and experiences available exclusively to Disneyland Resort Hotel guests. Private early entrance shopping experiences into select Downtown Disney stores and an early morning power walk through Disney California Adventure Park have been offered as fun activities for hotel guest. As as a Disney hotel guest, you also have access to special amenities (additional charges apply) at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa including child care at Pinnochio's Workshop and luxurious treatments at Mandara Spa.
Disney Extras: One of the best things about staying on property is simply that you are completely immersed in Disney's storytelling and magic. The nighttime show and firework music is piped in through your TV, the Disney Princesses tell bedtime stories to your kids on a special Disneyland Hotel TV channel, you can schedule a wake-up call from Mickey Mouse and there's so much more!
You can't go wrong with your Disneyland vacation when you stay at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. Hi Anjion. Your park entrance is separate from the cost of the hotel, so you would need to buy a ticket for each day you intend to be in the parks. The longest ticket is a 5-day ticket, so you would need multiple to be able to visit the park each day for two weeks.

If you were planning to stay in a Disneyland hotel for two weeks, would you be able to get into the Park each day for those two weeks or would you have to pay extra?

Hi Roxie, Yes, you can absolutely choose which park to visit each day. Just know that once you enter either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure, you won't be able to go to the other park on that day.
