Tropical Americas Rides at Walt Disney World
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto (Any Height)
If you’re a fan of drawers, floors, and doors, you’re going to be thrilled to ride the first-ever Encanto attraction opening in 2027.
This attraction features the beloved Madrigal family and new parts of the house we didn’t get to see in the movie. Since the attraction takes place on Antonio’s gift day, a sacred and special occasion for the family, riders are invited to Casita as part of a cheerful celebration.
You’ll board a ride vehicle made up of different pieces of furniture assembled by the power of Casita to carry you through the rooms. Once you’re in Antonio’s room, you’ll find the space has been transformed into a colorful rainforest, overflowing with more than 50 animals of many shapes and sizes!
It is an ideal addition to Animal Kingdom because after all, we are all part of the familia of all living things.
El Carrusel de los Animalitos (Any Height)
In the center of town you’ll find a bustling village, Pueblo Esperanza, where a woodcarver has created a giant working carousel! The carousel features his favorite animals from Disney stories, and we bet they’re some of your favorites, too.
In fact, there are 22 different hand-carved animals including Scuttle, Squirt, Pua, Pascal, Simba, Eeyore, Kuzco, Heimlich, and more.
Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent (Under Construction)
In this new venture, Indy has discovered a perfectly preserved Maya temple. And that can only mean one thing—it’s time to explore!
You’ll rendezvous with Dr. Jones, who is in the midst of exploring this mysterious temple near a once water-filled underground cave, called a cenote. Local legend says the passageway leads directly to the Maya Underworld, and is protected by a serpentine creature: the Tsukán.
The adventure takes off when riders are sucked through a portal to the Underworld, where they’ll have to escape perilous dangers, like monstrous bats, larger-than-life scorpions, fire and flame, and of course—snakes.
It is an ideal addition to Animal Kingdom because after all, we are all part of the familia of all living things.
Tropical Americas Dining at Walt Disney World
Let’s eat! Trying out all the new food at Walt Disney World is one of our favorite pastimes, and our imaginations are going wild just thinking about what dishes we might find in the new Tropical Americas at Walt Disney World.
While we don’t know any specific dishes of food or drinks coming yet, our team came up with a few things we’d love to see in this new Tropical Americas area. Tell us what you think should make it on the menus!
- Snake Surprise Skewers: Teriyaki-glazed chicken skewers (no actual snakes!)
- Golden Idol Cheesecake: Shimmering gold-dusted cheesecake
- We Don’t Talk About Tacos: A trio of Colombian-style soft tacos with fillings like spiced chicken, pork, and a vegetarian option
- Isabela’s Perfect Salad: A colorful fruit and flower salad with edible blooms and a honey-lime vinaigrette
While none of these dishes have been announced, we sure think it’s fun to imagine the possibilities!
Disney has confirmed a large hacienda in Tropical Americas which will be one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort, serving as a hub for the town of Pueblo Esperanza.
Tropical Americas Shopping
We crave adventure and the merch you can already find in Disney Parks and online (like this popular Indiana Jones hat!), but we know Disney will come up with some amazing places to shop and score all your favorite Indiana Jones souvenirs, Encanto and Tropical Americas merchandise.
A full collection of Encanto plush options, Indiana Jones spirit jerseys are just a few things on our wish list. We can’t wait for when these are officially announced!
