After Hours Arrival Tips
Disney After Hours events start around 7:00 pm ET or later, depending on the park and the time of year. The first few hours are considered “mix in” hours when you’ll have the park operating for both regular day time guests and After Hours guests.
To maximize your time for After Hours and enjoy all the fun, read our top tips below.

1. Check In Early for After Hours
- Check out the attraction schedule ahead of time and plan to visit anything that closes with the park in the overlap time after you arrive. For example, on a recent After Hours night at Magic Kingdom, we noticed Tiana’s Bayou was only open during the regular park hours. Since that ride was important to our group, we made sure to ride it earlier in the evening.
- Check in happens at the park entrance or select locations inside the park. See a Cast Member for exact locations to retrieve your After Hours wrist band and guide.

5. Dress Comfortably
6. Pack a Backpack
Speaking of packing, bring a backpack. Bring water bottles to keep hydrated, snacks to supplement your Disney treats, a portable phone charger to keep your battery charged late at night, and an umbrella or poncho in case of rain. You'll also want to stash away any souvenirs to keep your hands free.
And yes, you can even grab extra bottled beverages to keep for the remainder of your trip. Backpacks really come in handy!
7. Check out the Exclusive Entertainment
- Guests entering the park early can enjoy Disney Starlight Parade on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park
- Guests entering the park early can enjoy “Luminous The Symphony of Us" on select nights at EPCOT
- Illuminated attractions and a DJ dance party at Disney H2O Glow After Hours
- Trick or Treating and rare Disney Villains at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
