Courtyard Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Review

Out of all of the hotels across the street from Disneyland, the Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance may get the most attention. And with good reason. It bills itself as an "Anaheim Waterpark Hotel Across the Street from Disneyland." Now if that doesn't sound like any kid's dream come true, we don't know what is! But the Courtyard is so much more than that.

I was able to stay at the Courtyard with my family, and we loved it. Our team tours our hotels each year, and this was an easy stand out. Read our entire Courtyard Marriott Anaheim Theme Park review to find out why both kids and adults love this hotel.

Courtyard Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Review - Rooms:

The rooms at the Courtyard are a major draw at this hotel for families for a few reasons. There are so many highlights that it's difficult to decide which is the most appealing. First of all, each of the rooms sleep up to six guests, which is great for families. The guest rooms all have the same layout which includes two queen beds and a set of bunk beds. If your kids are anything like mine, they'll lose their minds with excitement.

Another thing you and your kids will love is the beach mural on the wall. It just feels like you're in Southern California! Additionally, each room has a mini fridge, a microwave, a work desk and a small dining area. Rooms also come with a flat screen TV that connects to your Netflix, YouTube and Hulu accounts.

But perhaps one of the most unique features of the rooms at the Courtyard is that each room has two showers! When you walk into the bathroom, there is a shower/tub combo in the same rooms as the vanity. Then, there is a separate stand-alone shower in the same room with the toilet. Families will love the time it saves getting ready in the morning or showering off after an afternoon at the water park.

Courtyard Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Review - Amenities:

As you may have guessed, one of the most impressive amenities at the Courtyard Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is their Surfside Waterpark. The waterpark is exclusively for hotel guests and is open year-round. You'll get wristbands at check-in that you must wear in order to get into the waterpark. There is a darling kids' splash area with water slides for little kids, a kiddie pool and dunk bucket. Older kids, teens and adults will enjoy cooling off in the swimming pool, taking a plunge on 30-foot water slides or relaxing in the hot tub. Most of the waterpark is open until 10pm and is located on the second level of the hotel. The pool deck has an impressive view of the fireworks on scheduled fireworks nights.

In addition to the waterpark, the Courtyard has an extensive gift and snack shop called The Market on-site. You can find adorable Disney souvenirs and anything you may need for a day at the waterpark. You can also grab snacks and other sundries 24 hours a day. It is super convenient. There's a 24-hour fitness center on-site as well if you don't get enough steps in at Disneyland.

One important note in our Courtyard Marriott Anaheim Theme Park review is that the hotel only offers valet parking. Valet parking is available for $20 for hotel guests and $25 for non-hotel guests. Many non-hotel guests choose to park at the Courtyard because they can just drop their car and pretty much walk across the street. It's nearly the same price as parking at the Disney parking structure, but takes less time to get the Main Gate.

Courtyard Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Review - Dining:

In addition to The Market, the Courtyard Marriott has two on-site dining options; Starbucks and the Bistro. Starbucks is exactly what you'd expect. The Bistro is open from 6:30am - 11pm serves a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner menu items at affordable prices. We opted to eat at The Bistro after a fun day at the parks and loved the pizza and sandwiches. There was plenty of seating and the service was friendly and attentive.

If you like to venture out, there are also some wonderful choices steps away from the hotel. Right in the parking lot is a Mimi's Cafe. A Panera Bread, McDonald's, I.H.O.P and others are all within walking distance as well.

Courtyard Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Review - Location:

If you haven't already gathered from the hotel's name, or reading through the other sections, the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance has an incredible location. You'll love being so close to the magic of the Disneyland Resort. It's about a five-minute walk to the main entrance, which also means you're within walking distance to the Downtown Disney District.

And of course, staying at one of the best hotels near Disneyland in the heart of Anaheim means you're just a few minutes drive to Knott's Berry Farm, the Garden Walk and world-famous beaches. The Courtyard Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is an ideal hotel for your Southern California vacation.
