UPDATED MARCH 31, 2020: As of March 14, 2020 the theme parks of the Disneyland Resort will be closed until further notice due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The original annoucement of a closure through March 31, 2020 is no longer accurate. The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort remained open through March 16, 2020 to help anyone who was currently traveling make arrangements to get home. The Downtown Disney District will remain partially open, as all Disney owned and operated shops and restaurants will temporarily close. As of right now, most stores in Downtown Disney have chosen to close.

Why is the Disneyland Resort closed?
Although there have not been any reported cases of COVID-19 (commonly referred to as "coronavirus") at the Disneyland Resort, they have taken preventive measures under the guidance of the Governor of California and CDC.
When will the Disneyland Resort be closed?
Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park were both closed beginning on Saturday, March 14, 2020 and will continue to be closed until further notice. Disney is working closely with both health and government officials to monitor the situation. Although it does not suggest a reopening date, Disney has confirmed that it will pay all hourly Cast Members through April 18, 2020.
The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort followed suit and closed on March 16, 2020. Most stores in the Downtown Disney District are also closed during this time.
When will Disneyland reopen?
As of right now, Disneyland does not have a scheduled reopening date. By leaving this open-ended, Disney is allowing flexibility of reopening as soon as it's safe to do so. This page will be updated frequently as more information becomes available.

I was on vacation at the Disneyland Resort during the announced closure, now what?

Will the Disney closure affect my Kids Spring special tickets?
Previously, the Kids Spring ticket special was valid for use through May 21, 2020. However, due to the recent Disneyland Resort closures, the Kids Spring special has now been extended for travel through December 15, 2020. Please note that the entirety of your ticket needs to be used by December 15, 2020. This ticket will expire and will no longer be valid after this date. If you have not used any of the days of your Kids Spring Special ticket, all days still must be used within 13 days of the first day of use, and no later than December 15, 2020. If you choose to cancel those tickets, any cancellations must be made by May 15, 2020. Regular cancellation policies will apply.
How will the Disney closure affect my Southern California Resident discount tickets?
Similarly, the Southern California Resident offer has been extended for use for travel on a day-by-day basis. Previously, guests who purchased this ticket offer had until May 21, 2020 to use this special. We will not know what the new expiration date is until we know when the Disneyland Resort will reopen. Because it is going to be on a day-by-day basis, we can assume that if the Disneyland Resort remains closed for 30 days, that the new expiration date would be June 20, 2020. Once Disneyland reopens, they will announce a firm expiration date. Please note that this ticket must be used in its entirety on the new expiration date, once it has been announced. This ticket will expire and will no longer be valid after the newly announced date.
How does the closure impact my Disneyland Resort annual pass?
Disneyland announced that once the Park reopens, the expiration of your annual pass will be extended by the amount of time that the Parks were closed. Additionally, if you're on a monthly payment plan, you will continue to make payments. However, you won't make extra payments once your current expiration date is hit. For more information regarding annual passes, please visit Disneyland's offical website.
